Residential Burglary – On March 22, 2020, Stephen Buchko, a 46 year old Fredericksburg man, broke a window at a residence on the 100 block of Lions Dr. Once Buchko broke the window, he stuck his head into the residence yelling. Buchko then went to a second window at the same residence and broke it. Buchko then fled the residence and traveled north. Buchko went to a residence on the 00 block of Michael Ln. and broke the glass on a basement door and a small rocking chair located outside the residence.
Buchko was then located in the area of the 100 block of Lions Dr. where a trooper confronted him. Buchko stated, “Kill me,” multiple times before fleeing on foot. Troopers located Buchko in the area. Buchko then attempted to flee on foot again, and while running, he went headfirst into a tree. Buchko fell to the ground. Buchko then began to fight with troopers prior to going into custody. Buchko was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the hospital for his injuries.
The victims of the crime were a 64 year old Fredericksburg man, a 61 year old Fredericksburg man, a 58 year old Fredericksburg woman, and a 52 year old Fredericksburg woman. Property damage included was a basement door with glass valued at $1,498 and a home window valued at $500.
Theft Items from Motor Vehicle – On March 23, 2020 at approximately 12:09 a.m., an unknown suspect(s) approached Martin’s Appliance Store, located at 740 E. Lincoln Ave., from the west along SR 422 in a white and gray Ford pickup truck and a black Chevrolet Cavalier. The unknown suspect(s) approached the rear of the business and siphoned approximately 35 gallons of diesel fuel from a Martin’s Appliance delivery truck. At approximately 12:22 a.m., the unknown suspect(s) then exited Martin’s Appliance Store rear lot toward SR 422 and fled in an unknown direction.
Possession of Firearm and Substances – Skye McCottry, a 24 year old Palmyra resident, has been charged with Possession of Firearm Prohibited, Firearms Not to be Carried Without a License, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia on March 20, 2020 at 4:01 a.m. on the 300 block of N. 11th St.
McCottry was alleged to have been parked blocking a fire hydrant and sleeping in his vehicle. Police observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and asked him to exit his vehicle. McCottry was sitting on a handgun; he is not permitted to possess a firearm. A subsequent search of McCottry revealed additional drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana and methamphetamine.
He was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ Carl Garver. McCottry was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $10,000 bail.
Possession of Marijuana – On March 17, 2020 at 12:23 a.m. at Maple St. and North 10th St., a traffic stop was conducted by PSP Jonestown. The operator, Sergio Enrique-Ortiz, was found to be in possession of marijuana. Charges to be filed.
Parks Rules and Regulations – A 20 year old Palmyra resident has been cited for Parks Rules and Regulations on March 10, 2020 at 9:30 p.m. on the 500 block of East Canal St.
Dogs Running at Large – A 46 year old Lebanon resident has been cited for Dogs Running at Large after an incident on March 8, 2020 at 5:55 p.m. on the 00 block of Guilford St.
Disorderly Conduct – Two 20 year old Lebanon residents and a 21 year old Pottsville resident have all been cited for Disorderly Conduct on March 1, 2020 at 4:50 p.m. on the 200 block of South 8th St.
Commercial Burglary – This incident occurred between March 6, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. and March 7, 2020 at 9:50 a.m. as unknown actor(s) did arrive on the property on the 10 block of West Carpenter Ave. The unknown actor(s) did open the rear to a white trailer. The unknown actor(s) located a Valspar White Outdoor Paint and Primer Spray Paint Can, a Valspar Black Paint and Primer Spray Paint Can and a Quick Color Red Spray Enamel Spray Paint Can and spray painted a black penis on the inside of the white trailer’s door, a white penis on the inside of the left wall of the trailer and the word “ho” in black spray paint on the inside of the right wall of the trailer. The unknown actor(s) used red spray paint and black spray paint to draw a red penis and a black penis on double green doors that are attached to the building on the 10 block of West Carpenter Ave. The unknown actor(s) entered the building on the 10 block of West Carpenter Ave. through an unknown entrance and did destroy numerous Fluorescent Light Bars. The unknown actor(s) did throw a piece of gravel, a head of a hammer, and a metal brush head through a window located at the front of the facility.
The two victims were a 28 year old Myerstown man and a 38 year old Myerstown man. Property damage includes a window valued at $600, a fluorescent light bar valued at $500, and a green metal double door valued at $100. Vehicles vandalized include a 2007 Pacemaker.
Church Burglary and Vandalism – Sometime between the night of March 24, 2020 and the morning of March 25, 2020, an unknown actor(s) broke into Moonshine United Zion Church, located at 701 Moonshine Rd. in Union Twp. The actor(s) used a hammer and did extensive damage to the front and side doors of the church. The actor(s) also shattered the glass out of the church sign. Once inside the church, the actor(s) used the hammer to punch holes in the walls of the sanctuary and stole a white-colored, 14” Asus laptop computer.
Property damage is valued at several thousand dollars. Anyone with information is asked to contact Tpr. Sanger at PA State Police at PSP-Jonestown 717-865-2194.
Substance Possession – On March 14, 2020 at 11:13 p.m., State Police stopped a 2005 Toyota Camry for traffic violations observed near Allentown Blvd. and Maply Ln. Investigation revealed the driver, Richard Camasta, a 55 year old Fredericksburg man, to be in possession of methamphetamine and related paraphernalia. Charges are pending.
