The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed Saturday, March 28, that Lebanon County now has 15 cases of the novel coronavirus, an increase of three cases compared to figures published Friday.
The current statewide positive count is 2,751, with 34 deaths. The state has recorded 25,254 negative tests.
As far as neighboring counties:
- Berks County – 65 cases
- Dauphin County – 23 cases
- Lancaster County – 45 cases, one death
- Schuylkill County – 16 cases
The Department of Health does not release municipality-level data.
On Friday, the Penn State Hershey Medical Center announced that it had seen its first in-patient fatality from coronavirus. The hospital said that the patient was in high-risk fatality, possibly an older person or someone with an immune deficiency. That death does not appear to be included in the above figures, as according to Lancaster Newspapers, the Lancaster County fatality occurred at Lancaster General Hospital.
