Bethel Township

Fatal Accident – On Dec. 1, 2020 at approximately 5:15 a.m., members of PSP Jonestown were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries and entrapment on South Pine Grove St. on SR 343 at its intersection with Shirksville Rd. in Bethel Twp. Upon arrival on scene, Operator 1 and Passenger 1 of Unit 1 were unconscious within Unit 1. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 of Unit 1 were extricated from the vehicle. Operator 1 was determined to be deceased at the scene while Passenger 1 of Unit 1 was transported to the Hershey Medical Center via Life Flight. Investigation into this crash has revealed that Unit 1 failed to come to a complete stop at a properly posted STOP sign before entering the intersection to travel south on SR 343. Unit 1 was subsequently struck by Unit 2, a tractor trailer, traveling north on SR 343. The persons involved included a 21 year old W/N/F, a 20 year old B/N/M, and a 26 year old W/N/M. This investigation remains open and ongoing.

Jonestown Borough

Theft – On Nov. 29, 2020 at approximately 8:45 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to a residence on the 200 block of West Market St. in Jonestown Boro. for the report of items being taken out of the bed of a pickup truck that was parked on the rear of the aforementioned residence. Investigation revealed that a combination tool kit was removed from the Complainant’s work truck sometime between Nov. 27, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. and Nov. 29, 2020 at 6:30 a.m. The Victim was a 65 year old Fredericksburg man. The vehicles involved included a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown. PSP is investigating.

Millcreek Township

Simple Assault, Felon Not To Possess A Firearm, Harassment – On Nov. 29, 2020 at approximately 6:52 p.m., PSP Jonestown investigated a physical domestic between husband and wife on East Main St. The husband was taken into custody for Simple Assault and Felon Not to Possess a Firearm. A citation for Harassment was filed against the female party. The Victims/Arrestees were a 36 year old Lebanon woman and Steven Ramirez, a 34 year old Lebanon man.

Myerstown Borough

Found Property – On Nov. 29, 2020 at 10:25 a.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to South Race St. for a found BB-Gun in a pelican style case. The Complainant advised on finding the BB-Gun near the Evangelical Theological Seminary, located at 121 South College St. in Myerstown Boro., at approximately 9:00 a.m. The BB-Gun was entered into the PSP Jonestown property room. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to call PSP Jonestown station at 717-865-2194.

Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 3, 2020 at 5:48 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Operator 2, an 18 year old Myerstown woman, was legally parked on the north side of North Railroad St., facing a north direction. Unit 2 was occupied by its owner at the time this crash occurred. Unit 1, a 2018 Hyundai Kona, driven by Operator 1, a 74 year old Richland man, was traveling northbound when, for an unknown reason, Unit 1 rear-ended Unit 2. After impact, Unit 1 fled the scene in a north direction without stopping to provide information. Unit 1 was observed fleeing the scene. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were not injured as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Drivers Required to be Licensed.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 27, 2020 at 12:38 p.m., this crash occurred on the 1,300 block of East Main St. as Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 48 year old Lebanon woman, struck the rear of Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 33 year old Harrisburg man. Unit 1 sustained damage to the front end and was towed from the scene. Unit 2 sustained damage to the rear bumper and was able to be driven from the scene. No injuries were reported. Operator 1 was cited for Following Too Closely. Operator 2 was cited for Driver’s Required to be Licensed.

Harassment – On Nov. 11, 2020 at 10:24 a.m., a student at Palmyra High School was cited with Harassment after she dumped a liquid, cold coffee, on another student. The parties involved were a 16 year old Palmyra female and a 15 year old Palmyra female.

South Annville Township

Theft – This incident occurred on Nov. 27, 2020 at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Weaber Ln. as the Victim received a Facebook message from an unknown individual. The unknown individual related to the Victim she would send her $1,500.00 via Cashapp if the Victim sent her $200.00 in gift cards. The Victim subsequently sent the unknown individual $200.00 in gift cards. The Victim never received the $1,500.00 from the unknown individual. The unknown individual subsequently blocked the Victim on Facebook. The Victim was a 39 year old Lebanon woman.

Swatara Township

Harassment – On Nov. 29, 2020 at 7:10 p.m., State Police responded to Old State Rd. for a report of an active physical domestic. Investigation revealed that the Arrestee shoved his wife’s mother two times. The Arrestee then tackled his wife to the floor, holding her down and grabbing her phone from her hand. The Arrestee was a 35 year old Tower City man. The Victims were a 63 year old Pine Grove woman and a 33 year old Jonestown woman. NTC’s to be filed.

Union Township

Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 30, 2020 at 9:53 p.m., this crash occurred on I 81 South at mile marker 92.1 in Union Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Operator 1, a 27 year old Harrisburg man, was traveling south on I 81 South. Operator 1 observed a deer on the roadway and was unable to prevent Unit 1 from striking the deer. Unit 1 sustained heavy and disabling damage to its front end at the 12 o’clock position and was towed from the scene by Porrini’s Towing. Operator 1 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash.

West Cornwall Township

Deer Struck – Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 73 year old Lebanon woman, struck a deer on Friday, Nov. 27, 2020 at 8:27 p.m. on SR 322, east of SR 419. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was drivable. The deer fled after the collision.

Vehicle Accident – This crash occurred on Nov. 24, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. on SR 117, west of SR 72. Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 56 year old Mount Gretna woman, was traveling east on SR 117 and rear-ended Unit 2, a PA Game Commission vehicle, driven by Operator 2, a 26 year old Palmyra man, that was stopped along the roadway. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed.
