The North Cornwall Township Board of Supervisors approved two payments for the Dairy Road Pump Station project and a change order at their Aug. 18 meeting.
Payments included $29,925 to JEV Construction with a 5% retainage until closeout documents are obtained and $29,731.88 to Garden Spot Electric. Supervisors also approved a change order of $59,764.78 to JEV Construction.
Additionally, solicitor Amy Leonard noted that the first round of collection notices will be sent this week to residents who have not paid stormwater bills. Stormwater payments can be made by credit card online at the Stormwater Delinquent Collections link or by calling the township office at 717-273-9200.
“We try to make it as easy and simple as possible for people to pay their stormwater fees,” said chairman Mike Wahmann.
In other business, supervisors:
- Approved updates to box cards and signing of the letter to submit them to the county for approval on behalf of Neversink Fire Company.
- Approved signing a letter of engagement with Robb Consulting LLC for the Regional Fire Commission. Vice chairman William Yeagley said all municipalities involved agreed that Robb Consulting is the company they want to work with.
- Approved a Local Share Account grant agreement for Lebanon Valley Expo Center.
- Approved a temporary parking restriction along Rocherty and Cornwall roads on Saturday, Sept. 5. Fireworks originally planned for July 4 were postponed and are set to begin at 9 p.m. on Sept. 5 at Lebanon Valley Expo Center, 80 Rocherty Road.
- Heard from Lebanon County Regional Police Chief Tim Knight that trick-or-treat night for borough residents has been set for Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m.
North Cornwall Township supervisors will meet again at 6 p.m. on Sept. 1 at 330 S. 18th St. Meetings are open to the public.
