Lebanon will hold a grand opening Wednesday at Southwest Park for the city’s first splash pad.
The event will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Southwest Park, 1400 Elder St.
According to a news release, the splash pad will stay open through Sept. 18, weather permitting.
“Like many construction projects, the splash pad experienced delays along the way, including extended lead times for materials and replacement of equipment that was damaged during shipping,” the release said. “We are excited to now have construction complete and officially open the splash pad for everyone to enjoy.”
As previously reported by LebTown, winter weather and supply chain and equipment delivery delays caused the completion date to shift from an original target of late May.
