On Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will host the Sirotin-Chang Duo in concert, at no cost to the public.

The husband-and-wife duo, violinist Peter Sirotin and pianist Ya-Ting Chang, began their artistic collaboration at Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University in 1997 when they co-founded the Mendelssohn Piano Trio, with which they performed over 600 concerts in the U.S., Europe and Asia, as well as recorded 15 CDs including the complete Haydn piano trios for Centaur Records. Their recordings have received critical acclaim and can be heard on many major classical radio stations in the U.S., including NPR’s Performance Today as well as WETA’s Front Row Washington. Sirotin and Chang gave a world premiere of Ching-Ju Shih’s Double Concerto for Violin and Piano at the National Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan, as well as a world premiere of Jeremy Gill’s Duo for Violin and Piano.

Critics have described their performances as “impressive,” “stylistically refined,” and “electrifying.” Individually, Sirotin and Chang appeared as soloists with ensembles ranging from Kharkiv Philharmonic to Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra and have collaborated in performance with world-renowned artists such as violinist Earl Carlyss, former member of the Juilliard String Quartet; pianist Ann Schein; cellist Ronald Leonard; and guitarist Jason Vieaux. The couple has given masterclasses in the U.S. and abroad and have also served as adjudicators in competitions.

This event, originally scheduled for last February but postponed because of snow, is sponsored by the St. Luke’s Friends of Music, with additional support provided by the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra. A freewill offering will be taken to support future music programming at St. Luke’s.
