Making a Difference of Lebanon, PA is bringing the community together this September to support two important causes: breast cancer awareness and helping local individuals and families in need.

Through the organization’s Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Run & Walk and its 10th Annual Toiletries & Socks Collection Drive, community members will have multiple opportunities to get involved, show their support, and make a meaningful difference.

Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Run & Walk

The Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Run & Walk will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at Coleman Memorial Park in Lebanon.

The event will bring runners, walkers, families, volunteers, and community supporters together to raise awareness and show support for those whose lives have been affected by breast cancer.

Participants are encouraged to Run for Hope. Walk for a Cure. Every step helps demonstrate the strength and compassion of a community standing together.

Two causes. One community.

While the Breast Cancer Awareness 5K and Toiletries & Socks Collection Drive address different needs, they share a common purpose: bringing people together to care for others and strengthen our community.

“Whether you participate in the 5K, donate a package of socks, volunteer your time, or encourage someone else to get involved, every action makes a difference,” said Gregory Fry, Public Relations Secretary for Making a Difference of Lebanon, PA. “These two initiatives are a wonderful reminder that when our community comes together, we can accomplish great things.”

Making a Difference of Lebanon encourages residents, businesses, organizations, churches, schools, and community groups to participate in one or both initiatives.

Run. Walk. Donate. Volunteer.

There are many ways to get involved, and every contribution — large or small — helps build a stronger, more caring Lebanon County community.
