25 years later, we remember – We pause to remember Sept. 11, 2001 — a day that forever changed our nation.

We remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost that day. We remember the families who received devastating news, the survivors who carried on, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

Most of all, we honor the first responders who ran toward danger when others were desperately trying to escape it. Firefighters, police officers, paramedics, emergency personnel, and ordinary people answered the call to help their fellow Americans. Many never came home. Their courage, selflessness, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to carry their memory with us. Please take a moment and reflect on the events of Sept. 11, 2001:
