The Cornwall-Lebanon school board heard updates on ongoing renovations at its work session Sept. 14.

Renovations are now taking place at the high school and have recently been completed at the Earl Boltz Stadium.

According to Fidevia’s September report for the high school renovations, contractors completed the remodeled cafeteria, kitchen, and serving areas, which are already in use for the new school year. The following photos were included in the report:

The report says the coffee shop and SGI/Life Skills classroom are complete save for finishing touches, and the Hydro Labs are around 90% complete. The tech area is undergoing utility installations, and contractors expect to complete the auditorium by the end of September.

The board will be asked at its regular meeting Sept. 21 to approve a change order totaling $12,902.07 for the high school renovation project from Lobar Inc. for concrete at science entrance steps, gym netting, and an axiom adjustment.

The Fidevia report for the stadium says that the project was fully completed Aug. 14, with current revised contracts (not including pending change orders) totaling $10,416,948.44. Some punch list items are still being addressed.

The project was initially bid for $10,177,544. A pending change order to raise the existing inlet for $2,272 has not yet been approved, as well as change orders for remediation around the DOAS units balancing out to $0.

The following photos from the report show the completed stadium:

For the campus site improvement project, which was approved for bid advertisement last month, the board heard a timeline update, including that bids are due Oct. 29. Work on the project is expected to begin in March and be completed by June 2028.

In other news, the board:

  • Heard that the school had high turnout for back-to-school events for the start of the 2026-27 school year.
  • Heard a request for curriculum approval for AP Statistics and AP Business with Personal Finance (a new course).
  • Heard various extracurricular updates and use of facilities requests.
  • Heard finance, personnel, and policy reports.

No action was taken Monday but may be taken at the board’s regular meeting Sept. 21.

Correction: This article has been edited to reflect that the board approved bid advertisement for the campus site improvements project bid, not that the project was bid out last month as previously reported. Bid packets were made available Sept. 4.

This meeting was covered remotely by LebTown using a livestream of the meeting posted to the district’s YouTube page and notes from previous coverage of the board.

The Cornwall-Lebanon school board holds a work session on the second Monday of each month and a regular meeting on the third Monday of each month, both at 5:30 p.m. Meetings are held at South Lebanon Elementary School due to ongoing construction at Cedar Crest High School.
