On Sept. 17, United Way of Lebanon County kicked off its 2026-2027 Campaign. Representatives of local businesses, schools, and nonprofits gathered at the Lebanon Valley Exposition Center to showcase and raise awareness for the organizations in Lebanon County that continually do great work for our community.

United Way’s annual fundraising campaign supports its signature programs:

  • Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program – which connects low-income individuals to free tax preparation assistance.
  • 211 Social Service Hotline – a free, 24/7, confidential, health and human services hotline – which connects Lebanon County residents with trained resource specialists who help identify needs, and link individuals to local programs that can provide meaningful support.
  • Communities in Schools of Pennsylvania (CISPA) – which employs school coordinators who connect students in need to community programs.
  • Community Investment Grant program – which invests in programs that remove barriers to learning, improve financial stability, and provide critical services to Lebanon County residents.
  • Events like the Day of Caring and Stuff the Bus.

As always, “What’s raised here, stays here,” remains the tagline for United Way – with a strong focus on providing support and services for our community.

“There is no shortage of need in Lebanon County,” said Bill Randall, Executive Director, who took on his role in February. “United Way is proud to support and partner with the local organizations who work hard every day to provide programming and services to make life better in our community – especially for those who need it most, whenever they need it most.”

The 2025-2026 Campaign, which ended on June 30, raised around $776,000. In his remarks, Randall announced that the fundraising goal for the 2026-2027 Campaign will be $850,000, and the Campaign will end on June 30 of next year.

During this Campaign, the Dixon Foundation will offer a dollar-for-dollar matching grant up to $50,000 – which will apply to first-time donors, and to donors who increase their contribution from last year.

Thank you to United Way sponsors, speakers and presenters, to Laura LeBeau (the evening’s emcee), and to all who made the Campaign Kickoff a success.

Special thanks to St. James Players, who performed a few numbers from their upcoming show, “Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm,” and to all our community nonprofits and partners who exist to make Lebanon County a great place to grow and to thrive.
