Imagine your life without driving. Could you navigate your daily routines, reach your workplace, doctor’s office, or connect with loved ones? This year, Lebanon Transit will be observing Week Without Driving, from October 1 to 8, 2026.
As part of a growing national initiative, Lebanon Transit invites local leaders and residents to explore a new perspective on mobility by trying transit during these dates. All Fixed Route trips are only $1.00 and first-time riders get their first trip free.
Whether due to age, ability, or financial circumstances, nearly sixty percent of Lebanon Transit riders utilize Fixed Route bus service because they have no other transportation options while nearly forty percent do not drive at all. The Week Without Driving is a chance to see the world differently. Participants are encouraged to complete even just one trip without driving, using alternative forms of transportation instead.
“Week Without Driving offers a simple and powerful way to experience our community like many of our neighbors already do,” said Angela Luciotti, Lebanon Transit executive director.
