Allen E. Sauder, 74, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, at Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Kathleen A. (Achenbach) Sauder. Born in Lancaster on March 3, 1952, Allen was a son of the late Elvin and Dorothy (Butt) Sauder.
Allen owned and operated Sauder Electronics for over 40 years alongside his wife, Kathy. He had since retired and still enjoyed everything about amateur radio, from getting on the radio with his buddies to repairing electronics. His call sign was NB3Z. Over the years, Allen enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and taking care of his animals. He was an avid reader; if there was something he didn’t know or wanted to know more about, you would catch him reading up on it. He enjoyed teaching his grandson, Theodore, about the Bible, and they would study it together. He loved spending time with his family and especially his three great-grandsons. He would look forward to annual family bingo during the holidays in hopes of winning big.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Jenna Sauder and Christine (Lear) Kramer, wife of Jeff; grandchildren, Jared Kramer, husband of Kassidy, Carley Martin, wife of Jeff, and Theodore Hughes; great-grandchildren, Everett, Nolan, and Miles; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Lear; and sister, Patricia.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., followed by remarks of remembrance at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, PA.
