Brenda J. Shahay, 74, of Myerstown, PA, died on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, at Lebanon Skilled Nursing and Rehab. She was the wife of Roman J. Shahay, to whom she was married for 52 years on Sept. 14, 2026.

Born in Lebanon County on July 4, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Henry N. and Joanne (Zinn) Reppert. A 1970 graduate of ELCO High School, Brenda was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Myerstown. She retired as an interior decorator at HW Reppert’s and worked at Martin’s Floor Covering, Myerstown. Brenda was an avid reader, and she loved horseback riding, going to the beach, cooking, and attending her children’s soccer games. She was a second mom to many, always had food on the table for whoever walked through the door, and loved gardening, hosting gatherings for family as she was a true entertainer, and decorating, especially for the holidays.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Lauren, wife of Alex Rowe; son, Nicolas Shahay; grandchildren, Hannah Shahay and Matilda Rowe; brother, Craig Reppert; nieces, Stacy, Melanie, and Jenna; and nephews, Jason, Bradley, and Mark. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Jimmy.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Friedens Lutheran Church, Myerstown, preceded by a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friedens Lutheran Church, 301 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, PA 17067. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
