MaryAnn L. Nelson, 89, formerly of Jonestown, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, at Country Meadows, Hershey. She was the wife of the late Kenneth L. Nelson.

Born in Pine Grove on July 28, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Ralph W. and Helen N. (Gibson) Ditzler. She was an active member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jonestown, and she enjoyed volunteering in their preschool when it first opened. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and bowling with her husband. She was always supportive of her children at their sporting events and in scouting. That same support was also given to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth L. (June) Nelson Jr., of South Annville Township, and Allen L. (Janice) Nelson, of Palmyra; grandchildren, Jonathan (Marybeth) Nelson, of Palmyra, and Alex (Angie) Nelson, of Annville; and great-granddaughters, Nora, Harper, and Emma. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Ditzler.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A viewing will be at 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment will follow at the Outwood Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
