Ruth H. Baylor, 96, of Annville, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, at MS Hershey Medical Center. She was married to the late Donald L. Baylor for 77 years.
Ruthie was born in Lebanon on Oct. 3, 1929, to the late Clarence M. and Helen A. (Mease) Bentz. She worked in the U.S. Army Finance/Accounting Office at Ft. Indiantown Gap. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ruthie and Donald enjoyed traveling and golfing together. She was known for her spunky attitude, sense of humor, and devotion to friends and family.
Ruthie is survived by her children, Brenda S. Buffington, and her husband, James, of Lykens, COL(R), and Richard A. Baylor, and his wife, Rosemary, of Annville; grandchildren, Erin, Erica, Andrew, Jimmie, and Zach; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Olivia, Ava, Matthew, and Avery; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Bentz, of Annville. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence, Donald, Robert, and Vincent Bentz.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with her late husband. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
