Scott A. Fry, 61, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at the Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Kathy S. (Peiffer) Fry. They were together for 15 years, and on Jan. 14, they celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary.
Born in Lebanon on Dec. 3, 1964, he was the son of the late Donald and Shirley (Shearer) Fry. Scott was the owner and operator of F-W Auto LLC in Fredericksburg. He enjoyed farming and working on the farm with Mike Blecker. He also went to truck and tractor pulls with his son and visited many different ones throughout the state and in neighboring states. He especially enjoyed racing. For several years, he and his son had their own race cars and would race at Linda’s Speedway. After his racing years, you could find him at Linda’s every Friday night helping and serving wherever he was needed. Scott’s dedication to racing extended well beyond Linda’s. He also gave his time and efforts to the Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway, Action Track USA in Kutztown, The Speedway at Pagoda Motorcycle Club, and Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Michael A. Fry, of Fredericksburg; daughter, Michelle L. Fry, of Lebanon; step-children, Darrell L., and his wife, Lynn Garloff, of Elizabethtown, Kimberly N. Arehart, of Fredericksburg, Tonya M., wife of Gregory Kline, of Myerstown, and Bobbie-Jo, wife of Thomas Oblinski, of Mountain Home, ID; brother, Stanley Fry, of Jonestown; sisters, Sandy Blauch, of Lebanon, Sue Dieter, of Bethel, and Donna Daub, of Lebanon; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family to help offset the expenses for the medical care that he received.
