Susan Linda Heagy, 73, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026.
She was born on March 17, 1953, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late James B. and Ismay (Stickler) Missimer. Susan was a member of the St. Gertrude’s Catholic church, now known as St. Cecilia’s. She worked as a custodian for many years at various places.
After retirement, Susan enjoyed her quiet life at home while doing her favorite things. Her activities included watching horror movies and John Wayne movies, listening to The Beatles and Elvis, drawing horses, and taking care of the cats on her niece’s farm. She also loved the quiet beauty of nature and liked to fish and camp.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Mark) Nelson; son, Eric Heagy; granddaughter, Melina Nelson; sisters, Jean (Ronald) Hartman, Elaine Missimer, and Shirley Kreiser; former husband, Michael Heagy; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ismay; and brothers, Robert, James, and John Missimer.
Services are pending at this time and will be announced at the family’s convenience.
