Vernon R. Schriver Sr., 93, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Betty L. (Rudy) Schriver. On April 18, they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.

Born in Shellsville on July 14, 1933, he was the son of the late G. Clarence and Betrond (Mickey) Schriver. Vernon was a member of the Sherk’s Church in East Hanover Township. After over 40 years of service, he retired from H. B. Reese, where he worked in Inventory Control. He was a member of the Mount Olivet Lodge #704 and attained the rank of 33rd Degree and was a member of the Scottish Rite. He loved old-time music, old-time racing, and his cars.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Vernon R. Schriver Jr., and his wife, Renee, of Annville, and Roger L. Schriver, of Harrisburg; daughter, Vickie A., wife of Jose Gonzalez, of Lebanon; sister, Violet Blouch, of Annville; grandchildren, Noah, Ethan, April, Amanda, and Lina; and great-grandson, Ian.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Albert, Richard, Benjamin, and Harold Schriver; and sister, Mary Weaver.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Covenant/Greenwood Cemetery, Ebenezer.
