Assault – At 4:41 a.m. July 21, police responded to the area of 5th and Cumberland streets for an assault. Police arrived on the scene and located a 21-year-old who sustained a serious leg injury. Police units on scene administered first aid to the male until EMS arrived. While police were speaking with the male, he stated he was assaulted on Chestnut Street near 5th Street by an unidentified male. The injured male was subsequently transported via ambulance to a local hospital, where he received treatment. It is believed that the male was injured following a disturbance which originated inside a building on the 500 block of Chestnut Street. The case is actively being investigated by the Lebanon City Police Criminal Division. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Detective Martin at 717-272-6611 or submit a tip through CRIMEWATCH.

Theft of bicycle – The Lebanon City Police Department is attempting to identify the male (pictured below) who stole a 20-inch Hyper bicycle from the 400 block of Canal Street. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the pictured suspect is asked to contact PFC Goumas at 717-272-6611 or submit a tip through CRIMEWATCH.

North Lebanon Township

Accident involving damage to attended vehicle – Police charged Joshua Lane, 36, with accident involving damage to attended vehicle. On May 10, a vehicle driven by Lane passed a bus, carelessly, at a high rate of speed. Lane lost control of his vehicle, struck another vehicle, and spun 180 degrees. Lane proceeded to leave the scene of the crash without stopping.

Retail theft – Police charged Brianna Hetrick, 29, of Lebanon, with retail theft. On May 29, Hetrick failed to pay for $80.25 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 1355 E. Lehman St.

DUI, reckless driving – Police charged Michael Conti, 60, of Wyomissing, with DUI and reckless driving. On April 19, a vehicle driven by Conti crossed four lanes of traffic, first striking the Avon Bridge and then striking the guide rail on both sides of the road before coming to final rest. Conti’s blood result was positive for fentanyl.

Retail theft – Police charged Darianna Montano-Jimenez, 41, of Lebanon, with retail theft. On May 24, Montano-Jimenez failed to pay for $106.83 worth of merchandise at Walmart.

Retail theft – Police charged Haydee Estrella, 41, of Lebanon, with retail theft. On May 16, Estrella failed to pay for $74.92 worth of merchandise at Walmart.

Disorderly conduct – Police charged a 39-year-old Lebanon woman with disorderly conduct, for having unreasonable music on June 10 on the 1100 block of Garden Avenue.

South Lebanon Township

Drug possession – Around 1:08 a.m. June 1, police pulled over a vehicle on East Cumberland Street. Police charged the driver, Kelvin Xavier Rivera, 25, with one count of misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana.

DUI – Around 2:53 a.m. June 2, police pulled over a vehicle on the 800 block of East Cumberland Street. During the investigation, police learned that the driver, Kelvin Xavier Rivera, 25, was under the influence of alcohol. Rivera’s BAC was 0.142% at the time of the traffic stop. Police charged Xavier Rivera with one count of misdemeanor DUI-alcohol and misdemeanor DUI-high rate of alcohol.

Simple assault, disorderly conduct – Around 7:32 p.m. July 4, police responded to the 1300 block of Harding Lane for a disturbance. During the investigation, police learned that a female identified as Arishay Allendes, 20, came to the residence and assaulted a juvenile female. Police charged Allendes with one count of misdemeanor simple assault and one count of summary disorderly conduct.

Altered, forged, or counterfeit documents and plates, drug possession – Around 8:29 p.m. July 18, police pulled over a vehicle on King Street. During the investigation, police learned that the vehicle was displaying fraudulent Pennsylvania inspection stickers. Police also learned that the driver, Timothy Geesey, 63, was in possession of a controlled substance. Police charged Geesey with one count of misdemeanor altered, forged, or counterfeit documents and plates and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

Theft from a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct – On July 17, police responded to the 400 block of Schaeffer Road for suspicious activity. During the investigation, police learned that the homeowner observed a male rummaging through the interior of her vehicle in her driveway. Police located the male identified as Aidan Yordy, 19, a short time later on a neighboring property. Police charged Yordy with one count of misdemeanor theft from a motor vehicle and one count of summary disorderly conduct.

DUI – Around 9:29 p.m. June 19, police responded to an aggressive driving complaint on South Lincoln Avenue. During the investigation, police learned that Daniel Santiago, 42, was driving his vehicle in an erratic fashion while following another vehicle. While speaking with Santiago, police learned that he consumed alcohol before getting behind the wheel. Santiago’s BAC was 0.280% at the time of the incident. Police charged Santiago with one count of misdemeanor DUI-alcohol and DUI of alcohol or a controlled substance.

Sale or transfer of firearms – On July 15, police learned that Marjorie Hix, 60, attempted to purchase a firearm on Nov. 2, 2023, from Dunham’s Sporting Goods, 829 E. Walnut St. At the time of the attempted purchase, Hix was not legally permitted to purchase a firearm. Police charged Hix with one count of felony sale or transfer of firearms.

Forgery, identity theft, theft by deception, access device fraud – On April 25, police were advised of a suspicious activity that had taken place at the Lebanon Federal Credit Union, 301 E. Evergreen Road. During the lengthy investigation, police learned that Gilberto Varela-Nieves, 55, used false IDs to remove money from the checking and savings accounts of several victims from Lebanon County. Police charged Varela-Nieves with felony forgery, felony identity theft, felony theft by deception, and felony access device fraud.

South Londonderry Township

Vehicle accident – At 2:57 a.m. July 24, police responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer on South Forge Road and Northside Drive. The driver, a 23-year-old Philadelphia man, failed to negotiate a left curve at the roundabout and overturned the tractor-trailer. The driver was hauling several 250-gallon drums filled with liquid soy lecithin, which ended up spilling out of the trailer. The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to Hershey Medical Center for treatment. The Western Lebanon County Regional Police Department, the Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company and Fire Police, the First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon, and Lebanon County Hazmat also assisted on the scene. The road was closed for over 10 hours for clean up and removal of the tractor-trailer.

Vehicle accident – At 8:52 a.m. July 24, this two-vehicle crash occurred on the 200 block of Hinkle Road while the road was wet and slick. A vehicle driven by a 50-year-old Manheim man was traveling east on Hinkle Road, negotiating a curve, when he slid into the opposing lane and struck a vehicle driven by a 73-year-old Palmyra man. A 15-year-old Manheim female juvenile was another occupant. No injuries were reported. The Palmyra man’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

Vehicle accident, failure to stay within a single lane – At 2:07 p.m. July 24, this two-vehicle crash occurred on Route 322. A vehicle driven by a 29-year-old Highspire man was traveling east on Horseshoe Pike when he bent down to pick up his vape from the floorboard. The Highspire man veered into the opposing lane and struck a vehicle driven by a 40-year-old Lebanon man which was traveling west. A 13-year-old Lebanon male juvenile was another occupant. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Police charged the Highspire man with failure to stay within a single lane.

Vehicle accident – At 6:37 a.m. July 24, this two-vehicle crash occurred on the 200 block of Hinkle Road. The driver, a 62-year-old East Petersburg man, was distracted while on a cellphone and drove into the opposing lane, striking a vehicle driven by a 46-year-old Annville man. Both drivers sustained minor injuries, and the East Petersburg man was transported to Hershey Medical Center for treatment. The South Annville Township Police Department, the Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company and Fire Police, and the First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon also assisted on the scene.

Simple assault, harassment – At 2:11 a.m. July 21, police charged Zachary Lee, 31, of Palmyra, with simple assault-domestic violence and harassment following an alleged incident on July 21.

Western Lebanon County Regional Police Department

Accident involving damage to attended vehicle, driving on roadways laned for traffic – Around 12:30 p.m. July 12, police responded to the 400 block of East Main Street for a report of a hit-and-run crash. After an investigation, police determined that the driver of the silver Volkswagen Jetta, Dylan Scott, 19, fled the scene. On July 26, a criminal complaint was filed with MDJ Ditzler’s office, charging Scott with one count of misdemeanor accident involving damage to attended vehicle and one count of summary driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Carrying a false ID card, underage possession/consumption of alcohol – At 1:38 a.m. July 23, police made contact with several intoxicated subjects on the 100 block of East South Avenue. Police identified one of the subjects involved as a 20-year-old woman and determined that she was under 21 years of age and in possession of a counterfeit identification card. Non-traffic citations were filed against the woman for summary carrying a false ID card and summary underage possession/consumption of alcohol.

National Night Out Against Crime 2024 – It’s that time of year again! The Western Lebanon County Regional Police Department will hold the National Night Out Against Crime 2024 at the Palmyra Middle School’s Buck Swank Stadium on Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 5-8 p.m. A rain date is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 8.

There will be parking restrictions and road closures affecting West Walnut Street between South Railroad and South Locust streets. A road closure of West Walnut Street to vehicle traffic will begin around 4 p.m.
