The Payless Shoes location in the Lebanon Valley Mall remains open, but neither store management nor Payless corporate would provide any further detail on the store’s fate.
The company announced bankruptcy and liquidation plans earlier this month.
Topeka-based Payless said that some stores would be closed by the end of March, while the majority will remain open through May. The chain has requested that March 11 be the last day that gift cards and store credit are honored.
The mall location is open from 10am to 9pm Monday through Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday.
