I announced in October 2019 that HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, is in discussions with two potential buyers of the Lebanon Campus building. At that time and many times since then, I have stated that regardless of the potential sale, HACC will remain in Lebanon!

I understand that there may be concerns as we continue with our reorganization. Change causes anxiety. I assure you that HACC is staying in Lebanon.

HACC regularly reviews its real estate portfolio across the College to determine if it is beneficial to continue to own all of its property. In some cases, such as the Midtown 2 building at the Harrisburg Campus, the College has chosen not to renew its lease. In other cases, such as at the York Campus, we may sell a building that is not being effectively utilized.

HACC is currently using 50% of the Lebanon Campus building. Our intention is to remain in the building, but with a smaller footprint. If a sale is completed, HACC will ensure that we are able to lease enough space in the building to continue our current programming.

I encourage you to visit hacc.edu/YOURlebanon for updates on the potential sale of the building.

If you hear people saying that we are closing in Lebanon, please provide them with this fact: HACC is committed to Lebanon and will remain in Lebanon.

Thank you.
