Gregory McKinnon Davis, 41, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife, Jennifer, and many loved ones in his home on Feb. 17, 2021. Greg was born on November 21, 1979, to William and Jacqueline Davis.

A native of Logan Township, New Jersey, Greg graduated from Kingsway Regional High School in 1997 and studied musical theatre at Lehigh University. His passion for the theatre was a constant throughout his life and he was able to find a musical quote for any situation. Not only was Greg a fixture on the stage, but he was also well-versed in the technical aspects of theatre and designed the lighting for the Lebanon Catholic Musical Theatre program.

Greg was always quick to lend a helping hand. His sharp wit and love of eye-roll inducing puns kept everyone around him laughing. Greg’s mischievous grin let everyone know that he was cooking up another big dream or crazy idea. He was an incredibly thoughtful gift giver, gave nicknames to everyone, and was known for his big bear hugs. An employee of Men’s Warehouse, Greg was not afraid of color and was easily the best dressed in any room!

Greg was the type of man who knew a little something about everything, as was made clear by his many different hobbies. Greg was an Eagle Scout and very proud of his fire-making skills, which he proudly showed off in his backyard fire pit. He was an avid puzzler, who favored 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzles, much to his wife’s chagrin. He loved playing cards, including pinochle and canasta. For many years, Greg was a DJ. He had a knack for getting people out of their seats and onto the dance floor.

Most recently, Greg enjoyed taking the motorcycles out for a cruise with his father-in-law, who was teaching him how to ride. After his conversion to Catholicism in 2017, Greg enjoyed learning more about the Catholic faith. In the last year, Greg’s selfless and gentle nature was on display while caring for his mother, alongside his sister Nicole, until their mother’s death. Most notably, Greg was a loving and devoted husband to Jennifer.

Greg is preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline Currie Davis, and his beautiful baby boy, Gabriel Vincent Davis, who he loved so dearly.

Greg is survived by his wife Jennifer (formerly Shuyler), his father William Davis (Carol), his sister Nicole Yetman (Eric), his mother-in-law, Julie Shuyler, his father-in-law, Kerry Shuyler, and his sister-in-law, Lauren Shuyler. In addition to the above-mentioned family, Greg is survived by the Christian family, who he has known for over 30 years. As close to him as his biological family, he will be deeply missed by Robin and Darrel Christian, their four children David Christian (Amy), Stasia Reynolds, Bethany Kiefer (Jason), Deborah DeSanto (Rob), and 12 nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Buggy as much as he loved them.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24th at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 2596 Cornwall Road, Cornwall. Interment will follow at Holy Savior Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to Mass from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sweet Grace Ministries in his son’s name, Gabriel Vincent Davis. Sweet Grace Ministries, an organization that was very dear to Greg’s heart, offers support, hope, and empathy to those who have endured miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death.

Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements. Please share your memories with the family at our online guest book at thompsonfuneralhomelebanon.com
