My dear husband, Karl Faehling, is now experiencing fullness of joy in the presence of his wonderful Savior. He passed from this life into heaven peacefully on the morning of April 13, 2023. He suffered since 2017 with many physical issues and is now suffering no more –Hallelujah! Our son, Dave, our daughter-in-law, Beth, and two of our granddaughters, Gracie and Rowan Faehling, and I were with him as he left this Earth. It was such an answer to prayer. The Lord has so graciously given us a deep peace about his leaving for a long time. Karl always would say God’s grace was sufficient until He would take him home.

I am finding out that he was loved by so many, and made an impact on countless people over the years for the glory of the Lord. He was 81 years old and had a long life of serving the Lord, loving me, his family, and others. Karl was a pastor, missionary, and nursing home chaplain. Karl was my sweet husband for almost 57 years, and I will miss him so much. But I am so happy for him in his forever home. Praise the Lord, I have His promise that I will be with him again.

Karl was born in Cologne, Germany, in 1941.

He is survived by his wife, Donna (Peters), of almost 57 years, as well as his son, David Faehling (wife, Beth), of Myerstown. Karl also has four grandchildren; Gracie Faehling, Rowan Faehling, Leah Bradnick, and Lucas Faehling, of Myerstown.

A private family celebration of life will be held Sunday, April 23, 2023.
