Annville Township

Public Drunkenness – On Feb. 6, police charged a 39-year-old Camp Hill woman with public drunkenness after an incident on the 300 block of West Church Street at 2:19 a.m. Jan. 14. Police responded to reports of a woman yelling outside and determined that Johnson had been banging on several doors and was extremely intoxicated.

DUI – At 10:50 p.m. Jan. 24, Annville police responded to North Mill Street at the railroad tracks for a report of a man passed out behind the driver’s steering wheel in a vehicle. Police identified the man as Philip Martin Jr., 43, of Cleona. Martin was evaluated by police and subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Charges are pending. Cleona police assisted on the scene.

Bethel Township

Theft By Deception – At approximately 3:40 p.m. Feb. 3, police responded to the PSP Jonestown Barracks for a report of theft by deception. Police determined that a 69-year-old Fredericksburg man had been communicating with an unidentified person via an online dating app. The victim reported that an unidentified person began asking him to wire transfer $38,000 so they could return home to the United States from England. The victim reported that he only spoke to this unidentified person via online dating apps. The victim reported that he has not lost monetary value and did not provide any personal information. The victim was provided a victim/witness rights guide and was advised to cease contact with the person. Attempts to contact or identify the person were fruitless. No actionable leads were developed. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194 and reference incident number PA2023-146904.

City of Lebanon

City Ordinance Violation – Police charged a 50-year-old Lebanon man with a city ordinance violation of mechanical amusement devices after he failed to renew a license on the 1200 block of Cumberland Street at 12:01 a.m. Jan. 5.

Disorderly Conduct – Police charged a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old Lebanon resident with disorderly conduct after they engaged in fighting or threatening behavior on the 100 block of South 8th Street at 3:14 p.m. Feb. 3.

Public Drunkenness – Police charged a 62-year-old New York man with public drunkenness after an incident on the 300 block of South 3rd Avenue at 7:50 p.m. Feb. 11.

City Ordinance Violation – Police charged a 63-year-old Lebanon man with a city ordinance violation of disorderly conduct for appearing in an intoxicated condition on the 100 block of North 12th Street at 5:45 p.m. Feb. 14.

Drug Possession – Police charged Victor Desimone Jr., 45, of Lebanon, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was arrested on an active warrant on the 200 block of North 7th Street at 5:43 p.m. Sept. 29.

Simple Assault, Criminal Mischief – Police charged a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old Lebanon resident with simple assault and criminal mischief after they struck another individual with closed fists and damaged the property of that individual on the 200 block of South 9th Street at 3 p.m. Dec. 9.

Criminal Mischief – Police charged Austin Davis, 20, of Lebanon, with criminal mischief after he damaged the property of another person on the 900 block of Mifflin Street at 12:27 a.m. Dec. 25.

DUI, Drivers Required to be Licensed, Accidents Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle – Police charged Esteban Vicenty, 55, of Lebanon, with driving under the influence of alcohol, drivers required to be licensed, accidents involving damage to attended vehicle, and general impairment after he was involved in a crash on 12th and Maple streets at 8:50 p.m. Jan. 14.

Retail Theft, Conspiracy to Commit Retail Theft – Police charged a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old Lebanon resident with retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft after they stole merchandise on the 800 block of Quentin Road at 11:34 a.m. Jan. 22.

Accident Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle, Driving License Suspended or Revoked – Police charged Eugene Adams, 36, of Lebanon, with accident involving damage to attended vehicle and driving license suspended or revoked after he was involved in a crash on the 800 block of South 12th Street at 1:22 p.m. Feb. 4.

Violation of Protection of Abuse Order – Police charged Terrence Parrish, 56, of Lebanon, with a violation of protection of abuse order after an incident that occurred on the 300 block of Federal Street at 9:43 a.m. Feb. 12.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle Accident – At 6:44 a.m. Feb. 6, a 2009 Toyota RAV4 driven by a 56-year-old Annville woman was traveling east on Jonestown Road, just past its intersection with Ono Road, when a deer ran into the vehicle’s path from a cornfield on the south side of the road. The Toyota’s front bumper and hood struck the deer. The woman was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The Toyota sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The deer was dead upon police arrival.

Heidelberg Township

Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At approximately 9:08 p.m. Feb. 10, a 2018 Kia Sorento driven by a 19-year-old Myerstown woman, accompanied by another 19-year-old Myerstown woman, was traveling north on SR 501. A 2003 GMC Denali driven by a 61-year-old Easley, South Carolina, man accompanied by a 52-year-old Lancaster woman was traveling south on SR 501. The Myerstown woman fell asleep while driving and the Kia crossed the double yellow lines and crashed into the GMC. The GMC flipped onto its roof in a field off the shoulder. The Kia sustained disabling damage. All occupants were wearing seatbelts and no injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Police charged the Myerstown woman with driving on roadways laned for traffic and issued a warning for careless driving.

Harassment – At approximately 5:20 p.m. Feb. 15, police responded to the 2400 block of South 5th Avenue for a verbal/physical domestic altercation. Police determined that a 29-year-old Lebanon woman struck a 34-year-old Lebanon man in the face with a closed fist and charged her with harassment. Police are investigating.

Jackson Township

Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At 12:31 a.m. Feb. 11, a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 19-year-old Myerstown man was traveling south in the 900 block of Kutztown Road. The Myerstown man failed to maintain his lane, traveling off the shoulder and striking a tree. The Chevrolet was towed from the scene. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported via Myerstown First Aid Unit to the Hershey Medical Center for a suspected minor injury. Police charged the Myerstown man with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

North Cornwall Township

Retail Theft – Sometime around Jan. 8, Travis Zang Sr., 49, of Lebanon, and Samantha Shiner, 32, of Lebanon, allegedly stole merchandise at the Sheetz gas station, 195 Rocherty Road.

Vehicle Accident – At 2:13 p.m. Feb. 9, a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Lebanon man was traveling north on Quentin Road when it struck the rear of a vehicle driven by a 45-year-old Delaware man that was stopped, waiting to make a turn. The Delaware man’s vehicle was pushed forward into a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Lebanon woman. One person was transported to the hospital. Two vehicles were towed from the scene.

Vehicle Accident – At 12:35 a.m. Feb. 4, a vehicle driven by a 64-year-old Maryland man was traveling south on Quentin Road and was stopped at a red light, when a vehicle driven by a 43-year-old Lebanon woman struck the rear of the man’s vehicle. One driver was transported to the hospital. One vehicle was towed from the scene.

North Lebanon Township

DUI – At 2:23 a.m. Feb. 11, a 26-year-old Ephrata man operated a 2010 Kia Forte on SR 72 North while under the influence of alcohol.

DUI – At 2:10 a.m. Feb. 12, police pulled over a 2014 Honda Accord Crosstour on Grace Avenue and Ivy Lane. Police found the driver, Derick Walter, 42, of Harrisburg, to be driving while under the influence and arrested him.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident, Following Too Closely – At 10:54 a.m. Feb. 13, police investigated a crash in the Lowe’s parking lot in which a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Lebanon woman struck a vehicle driven by a 32-year-old Palmyra man. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Police charged the Lebanon woman with following too closely.

Vehicle Accident, Following Too Closely – At 11 a.m. Feb. 11, police investigated a crash on Main Street and Spruce Court in which a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Finksburg, Maryland, woman rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 77-year-old Palmyra woman. No injuries were reported. The Maryland woman’s vehicle was towed. Police charged her with following too closely.

Vehicle Accident, Following Too Closely – Police charged a 56-year-old Hummelstown man with following too closely in connection to a crash that occurred at 6:53 p.m. Feb. 9 at the intersection of Ladderback Lane and Campbelltown Road. During the crash, the man’s vehicle struck the back of a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Lebanon woman.

Harassment – At 9:22 p.m. Feb. 14, police responded to the 800 block of South Grant Street. As a result of the incident, police charged a 37-year-old Palmyra man with harassment.

Palmyra Borough

Simple Assault, Harassment – On Jan. 21, police responded to the 100 block of North Railroad Street. Police determined that the victim sustained injuries to the back of her head, her left shoulder, and left ankle. Police granted an arrest warrant, charging Kyle Mayer, 32, with one count of simple assault-bodily injury, one count of simple assault-physical menace, and one count of harassment. Mayer turned himself in on the warrant and was transported to LCCB for arraignment.

Harassment – At approximately 2:21 p.m. Feb. 12, police responded to the 900 block of East Main Street for a report of a subject harassing an individual. Police found witnesses and video, which indicated that a 53-year-old man was speaking to the victim after being informed previously by police that he was not permitted to do so. Police charged Borchert with harassment.

DUI, Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked – At approximately 12:51 a.m. Jan. 20, police pulled over a beige Buick Le Sabre driven by Aahron Bartram, 36, who was known to have a suspended driver’s license. Police determined that Bartram was displaying signs of alcohol impairment and placed him under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Toxicology results indicated that Bartram’s BAC was .16%. On Feb. 6, police charged Bartram with DUI-general impairment, DUI-highest rate, and driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked. The charges were filed through MDJ Garver’s office.

Harassment, Disorderly Conduct – On Jan. 30, police responded to the Cadillac Motel for a disturbance. Police said James Borchert, 53, had been acting disorderly and harassing his neighbors and charged him with harassment and disorderly conduct, graded as misdemeanors. The charges were filed through MDJ Garver’s office.

Bench Warrant – At approximately 12:24 a.m. Feb. 17, police pulled over a vehicle and identified the passenger as Jonathan McGrew, 28, who had a bench warrant out of the Dauphin County Sheriff’s Office for a domestic relations violation. Police took McGrew into custody and transported him to the Dauphin County Prison.

Identity Theft, Theft By Unlawful Taking, Receiving Stolen Property – On July 20, a victim of identity theft contacted the police, reporting that his information was used to fraudulently purchase two cellphones at the T-Mobile Store, 901 E. Main St. The victim was reimbursed by the company, with the total loss being $2,298. Police identified the offender as the manager of T-Mobile, Courteney Adams, 28, and charged her with identity theft, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property.  

Identification Needed – At 1:43 a.m. Nov. 28, two suspects entered Oldie’s Laundromat and removed a coin machine from the wall using a crowbar. Inside the coin machine was said to be approximately $800. Anyone with any information on the possible identities of these two people should contact the Palmyra Borough Police Department.

Union Township

DUI – At 12:16 a.m. Feb. 13, the arrestee, a 48-year-old Lebanon man, operated a vehicle, a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander, on Allentown Boulevard and Yingst Drive while under the influence of a controlled substance.
