Arrest warrant – On Dec. 14, police issued an arrest warrant for Anthony Ramos-Maldonado, 22, with the original charge being misdemeanor fleeing and eluding.

Arrest warrant – On Dec. 22, police issued an arrest warrant for Ryan Grasso, 30, with the original charge being misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

New patrolman – Congratulations are due for Patrolman Joseph Vedilago, who graduated from the 123rd Harrisburg Area Community College Police Academy. Vedilago will be an asset to the Lebanon City Police Department, and the department looks forward to seeing the positive impact he will have on the community. The James Biever Police-Community Alliance provided Vedilago with a scholarship to attend the academy.

Heidelberg Township

Vehicle accident – At 5:51 p.m. Dec. 10, a 2017 Hyundai Tucson driven by a 74-year-old Lebanon man, accompanied by a 73-year-old Lebanon woman, was traveling west on Albright Road when he failed to negotiate a left curve in the road in the wet and foggy conditions and struck a pole. The Hyundai sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The two occupants were wearing seatbelts, sustained no injuries, were evaluated by Schaefferstown EMS, and refused further treatment.

Jonestown Borough

Theft – disposition of funds – At 7:40 p.m. Nov. 17, police responded to the 200 block of West Market Street, where an unknown person withdrew money from a 20-year-old Jonestown woman’s account. The victim is being refunded her money from the bank.

Millcreek Township

DUI – At 12:52 a.m. Dec. 16, a 22-year-old Leola man operated a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado while under the influence of alcohol on Cardinal Run Road.

Myerstown Borough

Theft – At 12:47 a.m. Dec. 26, police were informed of an alleged theft of metal and a lawn mower from the rear of a residence along the 300 block of South Broad Street. The victim was a 40-year-old Myerstown man.

North Cornwall Township

Carrying a firearm without a license – At 10:05 p.m. Nov. 16, police charged Orlando Romero-Cruz, 34, of Lancaster, with carrying a firearm without a license on Quentin Road.

DUI crash – At approximately 11:26 p.m. Nov. 18, police responded to a rollover crash on Colebrook Road. Police arrested Sam Gonzalez, 36, of Lebanon, for alleged DUI, endangering the welfare of a child, careless driving, and disregard of traffic lane.

Drug possession – At 7:39 p.m. Nov. 24, police charged Isaac Pyles, 23, of Grantville, with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance on Chestnut Street.

DUI – At 2:40 a.m. Nov. 25, police observed a vehicle swerving in and out of its lane on Quentin Road. Police charged Jason Sharp, 27, of Lebanon, with DUI.

Public drunkenness – At 3:27 a.m. Dec. 9, police charged a 34-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both of Annville, with public drunkenness after an incident on Cumberland Street.

Disorderly conduct – At 2:28 a.m. Dec. 9, police charged a 38-year-old Lebanon man with disorderly conduct on Cumberland Street.

Drug possession – At 9:37 p.m. Dec. 12, police charged Jacob Milusnic, 35, of Lebanon, with possession of drug paraphernalia on Walden Road.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle accident, following too closely – At 10:50 a.m. Dec. 17, police charged a 20-year-old Palmyra woman with following too closely after the vehicle she was driving struck the rear of another vehicle in the 1100 block of West Main Street. The vehicle that was struck, which was described as a white cargo/work van, failed to stop, continuing west on Main Street. No injuries were reported. The woman’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

Vehicle accident, careless driving – At 6:06 p.m. Dec. 15, police responded to a two-vehicle crash that occurred on the 1200 block of East Main Street. A vehicle driven by a 41-year-old Lebanon man rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 72-year-old Elizabethtown man while sitting stationary at a traffic light. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. Police charged the Lebanon man with careless driving.

Drug possession – At 8 a.m. Nov. 24, police charged Cortney Keefer, 41, of Palmyra, with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to another call on the 700 block of Cambridge Court. Keefer was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Theft by unlawful taking – At 1 p.m. Oct. 15, police charged Sheldon Werry, 31, of Myerstown, with theft by unlawful taking after he obtained money from a 36-year-old Lancaster man to order car parts but failed to provide proof of purchase and later refused to provide a refund. This incident occurred on the 1000 block of East Main Street.

Retail theft – At 2:55 p.m. Dec. 2, police charged Debra Mise, 65, of Lebanon, with retail theft after she failed to pay for 17 items worth $187.19 at Walmart, 100 N. Londonderry Square.

Vehicle accident, careless driving – At 9:42 p.m. Dec. 13, police charged a 24-year-old Lebanon woman with careless driving after a rear-end crash at the intersection of Main Street and the North Londonderry Square shopping center. A vehicle driven by the woman was exiting the shopping center and struck a vehicle driven by a 34-year-old Lebanon woman who was stopped for a red light.

Palmyra Borough

Institutional vandalism, disorderly conduct – At 4:07 p.m. Nov. 22, police responded to the 300 block of South Railroad Street for 911 calls regarding a juvenile causing multiple disturbances. Police said the 16-year-old male juvenile was visibly under the influence of a controlled substance. During the arrest, the juvenile caused damage to a police vehicle and was transported to the hospital for treatment. A juvenile allegation was filed on Dec. 11 for misdemeanor institutional vandalism, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, summary public drunkenness, summary harassment, and summary criminal mischief.

South Lebanon Township

Corruption of minors – On Oct. 17, police responded to a hit-and-run crash. According to police, Adriel Figueroa-Candelario, 27, was supervising a juvenile operating a vehicle with a PA learner’s permit when the juvenile struck the back of another vehicle and pulled to the side of the road. Figueroa-Candelario switched seats with the juvenile driver and left the scene of the crash without providing information to the other vehicle’s driver. Police charged Figueroa-Candelario with misdemeanor corruption of minors.

Endangering the welfare of children, DUI – On Nov. 18, police responded to a crash on the 2500 block of East Cumberland Street. Police said Jeffrey Davis, 44, was driving while under the influence of alcoholic beverages and with his juvenile daughter inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Police charged Davis with endangering the welfare of children, misdemeanor DUI-incapable of safe driving, and following too closely.

Drug possession – On Dec. 6, police pulled over a vehicle on the 500 block of East Cumberland Street and learned that a passenger, Jessica Sullivan, 31, was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Police charged Sullivan with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Drug possession, driving while suspended – On Dec. 6, police pulled over a vehicle on the 500 block of East Cumberland Street and learned that the driver, Ryan Romberger, 36, was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Police charged Romberger with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, summary driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked, and summary violation of use of certificate of inspection.

Simple assault, harassment – On Dec. 6, police responded to the 600 block of Progress Avenue for a domestic dispute. Police said that Thomas Schauer, 60, caused bodily injury to another resident of the property. Police took Schauer into custody and charged him with misdemeanor simple assault (domestic violence-related) and summary harassment.

Medical marijuana law violation, drug possession – At approximately 2:13 p.m. Oct. 16, police pulled over a vehicle on the 600 block of East Cumberland Street and learned that the driver, Julian Gray, 24, was in possession of medical marijuana belonging to another person. Police charged Gray with misdemeanor violation of the medical marijuana law, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while operating privilege is suspended (DUI-related), and certificate of inspection.

Sale or transfer of firearms, unsworn falsification to authorities – On Sept. 21, 2022, Jeffrey Shenck, 59, attempted to purchase a firearm at Shyda’s Outdoor Center, 1635 S. Lincoln Ave., while being legally prohibited from doing so. Police charged Shenck with sale or transfer of firearms and misdemeanor unsworn falsification to authorities.

Possession/use display of documents, driving while suspended – On Dec. 14, police pulled over a vehicle on State Drive and learned that the driver, Samuel McDonald, 35, was driving while his operating privilege was suspended (DUI-related). Police charged McDonald with misdemeanor possession/use display of documents, driving while operating privilege is suspended (DUI-related), required financial responsibility, and registration certificate of title required.

Warrant – Raheem Larrier, 43, is wanted by South Lebanon Township police after failing to appear for court to answer charges related to attempting to purchase a firearm while being legally prohibited from doing so.

DUI – At approximately 4 a.m. Nov. 25, police pulled over a vehicle on the 1800 block of East Cumberland Street and learned that the driver, Nathanael Jean, 40, was under the influence of alcohol. Jean’s BAC was 0.152% at the time of the incident. Police charged Jean with misdemeanor DUI-incapable of safe driving, misdemeanor DUI-highest rate of alcohol, and maximum speed limits.

Drug possession – On Dec. 20, police responded to the 800 block of East Walnut Street for a call regarding lost property. While assisting the caller, Gianna Rodriguez-Ducati, 20, the officer learned that she was in possession of illegal narcotics. Police charged Rodriguez-Ducati with misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Drug possession – On Dec. 20, police responded to the 800 block of East Walnut Street for a call regarding lost property. While assisting the caller, the officer learned that a passenger in the vehicle, Dzaire Hill, 23, was in possession of illegal narcotics. Police charged Hill with misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Evading arrest or detention on foot – On Dec. 11, police attempted to serve an arrest warrant on Jeffrey Wolf, 36, who ran from the officer after being advised of the warrant. He was later apprehended and charged with misdemeanor evading arrest or detention on foot.

Theft of package from porch – Police are investigating a recent theft that occurred at approximately 3:24 p.m. Dec. 27. South Lebanon Township police are asking for help in identifying the pictured individual who is wanted for questioning. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact police by submitting an online tip or by calling the department at 717-274-0482.

Welcome Officers Knight and Moss – The South Lebanon Township Police Department is pleased to introduce patrolmen Kyle Knight and Christopher Moss, who were sworn into duty on Friday, Dec. 22, by Judge Anthony Verna. The department asks the community to please give them both a warm welcome to the township. After the swearing-in ceremony, Michelle Biever, president of the James Biever Police-Community Alliance, presented a monetary donation to the South Lebanon Township Police Department to be applied to the cost of sponsoring a police cadet in the Reading Police Academy, which begins on Jan. 15. The James Biever Police-Community Alliance had previously made a donation to assist with the police academy tuition cost for Knight.

South Londonderry Township

Vehicle accident – At 4:10 p.m. Dec. 7, police responded to Northside Drive, in front of Redner’s, for a report of a crash with injuries. A vehicle driven by a 28-year-old Lebanon woman was traveling west on Northside Drive when traffic came to a stop and her vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by a 56-year-old Hummelstown man. One patient was transported to Hershey Medical Center by EMS. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene.

Vehicle accident – At 7:04 p.m. Dec. 16, police responded to Timber and Valley roads to investigate a single-vehicle crash. A 16-year-old Palmyra driver failed to negotiate a turn, causing his vehicle to leave the road and strike a rock. The damaged vehicle was towed from the scene. Police charged the juvenile with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Vehicle accident – At 2:14 a.m. Dec. 15, a tractor-trailer driven by a 61-year-old man from Orange, New Jersey, was negotiating a left turn from South Forge Roa onto SR 322 when he struck a traffic light box, disabling the traffic lights. No injuries were reported.

Vehicle accident – At 2:18 a.m. Dec. 17, a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old East Petersburg woman, was driving east on Mount Gretna Road when a deer ran in front of her vehicle. The woman swerved and struck a telephone pole, shearing it off. The woman reported no injuries. Her vehicle was towed from the scene. The road was closed because of the pole.

Vehicle accident – At approximately 6:07 p.m. Dec. 18, police responded to South Forge Road and Horseshoe Pike for a crash with injuries. Officers determined that a 17-year-old Palmyra female driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic while turning left onto Horseshoe Pike, causing a collision with a vehicle driven by a 65-year-old Palmyra woman. Police charged the juvenile with violation of traffic-control signals. Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company and fire police assisted on the scene.

Simple assault, harassment – At 9:15 p.m. Dec. 19, police charged Deshun Jordan, 28, of Annville, with simple assault (domestic violence-related), simple assault, and harassment after an incident on the 2700 block of Horseshoe Pike. Jordan is alleged to have injured a female passenger in his vehicle, causing multiple bruises and small lacerations to her head, face, and feet.

Union Township

Vehicle accident – At 3:53 a.m. Dec. 17, a crash occurred in the Turkey Hill parking lot at 500 Jonestown Road. A 2003 Jeep Liberty was at the gas pumps and backed into a crosswalk control panel. The pole with the crosswalk control panel was knocked over. The Jeep sustained minor damage to its rear bumper. No injuries were reported.

Vehicle accident – At 6:24 p.m. Dec. 18, a single-vehicle crash occurred on SR 72 in the area of Awol Road. A 2015 Subaru Legacy driven by a 19-year-old Lebanon woman was traveling east on Awol Road and failed to stop at a stop sign, crossing both lanes of SR 72 before striking a guide rail and continuing down an embankment. The Subaru sustained heavy front-end damage. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. Police charged her with stop signs and yield signs. Motter’s Towing assisted on the scene.

Lebanon County District Attorney’s Office

Impaired driving enforcement initiative scheduled – The Lebanon County District Attorney’s Office announced that an impaired driving enforcement initiative was scheduled for the weekend of Dec. 28 through Jan. 2. Officers from several local police departments conducted roving patrols targeting impaired drivers as part of a nationwide impaired driving campaign designed to reduce alcohol- and drug-related traffic crashes.
