A North Cornwall man was killed Monday morning by a tractor-trailer traveling north on Quentin Road/Route 72.

Lebanon City Police said that they were dispatched at 6:33 a.m. Monday morning, Dec. 23, for a struck pedestrian in the area of Summit Street and Quentin Road.

Police said that a witness at the scene saw the man lying unclothed in the street prior to being struck by a tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer was said to have continued traveling north on Quentin Road. According to the police release, the witness was not able to determine whether the driver was aware that the pedestrian had been struck.

The man was identified by police as Lamont Stanley, a 30-year-old North Cornwall resident. An investigation is ongoing and toxicology results are pending.

According to the release, North Cornwall Township Police had been dispatched prior to the incident as witnesses had reported seeing an unclothed man running around the parking lot of the Lebanon Plaza Mall and acting strangely.

Lebanon City Police are asking anyone driving in that area between 6:15 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. to contact them at 717-272-6611.

In the release, Lebanon City Police also thanked the Lebanon County District Attorney’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team and the North Cornwall Township Police for assistance at the scene of the investigation.
