On Saturday, November 23โ€”the same day as the Lebanon Holiday Paradeโ€”St. Lukeโ€™s Episcopal Church at 22 S. 6th Street, Lebanon, will host their annual holiday bazaar. The public is encouraged to attend this event, which is a local tradition for many families.

The bazaar will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with lots of items for sale to satisfy both hungry parade-goers and Christmas shoppers. A lunch of hot sandwiches and soups will be available in the Fellowship Hall on the lower level of the parish hall. The Bazaar Marketplace on the main level will offer Pollyโ€™s Pantry (delicious homemade jams, jellies, salsa, and other delicacies), The Sweet Shoppe (homemade candy, cookies, pies, breads, and other items just in time for the holidays), a used book sale, and a chance to win one of the interesting theme raffle baskets that have been assembled.

There will also be a โ€œChildrenโ€™s Cornerโ€ with fun activities for kids. Parents are invited to bring their children from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for free photos with Santa using their own camera or smartphone. The church will be open to tour and there will be live music offered through the day.

“St. Lukeโ€™s is proud to be a part of downtown Lebanon, and this bazaar has become a great way to connect with our neighbors,โ€ says Steve Doster, senior warden of the church. โ€œIt also helps us raise funds to support both our parish ministries and those in the wider community.โ€

A team of parishioners has worked to transform the church auditorium into a holiday wonderland, ready for the display of treats and gifts. This year they had help from members of Boy Scout Troop 20 of Myerstown, PA.

St. Lukeโ€™s Episcopal Church is located on 6th Street between Chestnut and Cumberland Streets with entrances on 6th Street. The buildings are accessible for those with mobility challenges by way of the newly renovated Chestnut Street entrance and an elevator in the rear of the church that accesses all levels.
