The Lebanon County Choral Society will perform a holiday concert titled “Sure on This Silent Night” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Lebanon.

Artistic director Sean Hackett will conduct the choral society’s Adult Chorus, with a special guest appearance by the Youth Chorus.

“The program centers around works by Morten Lauridsen. While not everyone may know his name, audiences will no doubt find his pieces familiar,” Hackett said in a release. “His distinctive style has been a staple of many choral concerts for the past decades, and his music feels like it has existed forever — as if folk songs or anthems. And we’re thrilled to be back at St. Luke’s, which is just a gorgeous space, both visually and acoustically.”

The Youth Chorus, under the direction of Gabrielle Quandel Umholtz, will perform their own holiday concert, “December Dreams,” at DeMaio Worship Center at Londonderry Village in Palmyra at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. The performance is free and open to the public.

Tickets for “Sure on This Silent Night” are available on the choral society’s website, LCCSmusic.org, at a preorder rate of $15 ($3 for students). Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door for $18.

The Lebanon County Choral Society was founded in 1889.
