A 54-year-old Lebanon man was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 4, and charged with distribution of fentanyl and possession of a stolen firearm.

Lebanon city police obtained a search warrant before conducting a search on the morning of Jan. 4 at a home in the 700 block of Walnut Street. According to a release issued Thursday through Crimewatch, Rubin Perez was taken into custody and charged with the following:

  • Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (Fentanyl, Xanax, and Alprazolam).
  • Possession of a controlled substance.
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Possession of a firearm prohibited.
  • Possession of a firearm with a manufacturer number altered.
  • Receiving stolen property.

Police said they recovered a stolen firearm and nearly 400 bundles of Fentanyl after an extensive investigation by city Patrolman Travis Pidcock.

According to court records, Perez was arraigned Saturday, Jan. 5, in front of Magisterial District Judge Anthony Verna. He faces five felony charges for firearms possession and possession of controlled substances with intent to manufacture or deliver, as well as four additional misdemeanors for use/possession alone.

Perez is currently being held at Lebanon County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail, which was set at $250,000.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 16 in front of Magisterial District Judge Maria Dissinger.
