The City of Lebanon is asking its residents, businesses, and nonprofits to complete an online Community Needs Survey to help administrators plan how to spend Community Development Block Grant money it will receive from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) over the next five years.

The plan will describe the city’s general needs and establish a five-year strategy for using CDBG money.

Survey responses must be received by Friday, March 7.

The CDBG program started in 1974 under the administration of President Gerald Ford. CDGBs fund affordable housing, anti-poverty programs, and infrastructure development.

Block grants such as CDBGs are not limited to narrow, specific purposes. Instead, they can be used at the discretion of state and local governments within broad categories, and are often passed through to community organizations.

Survey Deadline is Friday, March 7

You can take the online survey here.
