The North Lebanon Township Board of Supervisors unanimously agreed to accept a $349,127.66 bid from Pennsy Supply for this year’s paving.

This year’s project entails East Kercher Avenue from Mount Zion to Prescott Drive and Joel Drive from 15th Avenue to the cul de sac.

Pennsy Supply was the lowest of five bidders. Supervisor Gary Heisey noted that the project came in around $75,000 under budget.

The board also unanimously agreed to purchase fuel from Rhoads Energy, at a cost of $28,748.50 for 11,000 gallons of diesel and $4,299 for 2,000 gallons of 87 octane unleaded gasoline.

Supervisors also unanimously agreed to make the first payment of $170,552.02 to Flyway Excavating for work on the Lion’s Lake rehabilitation project.

The project to restore the lake’s shoreline has been underway for several months, with supervisor Ardy Snook commending Flyway for work done thus far.

Supervisors also unanimously authorized chairman Ed Brensinger to sign an easement agreement with the owners of 2014 Wall St., which will allow the township to move forward with plans to replace the Jay Street wall.

With the easement in place, solicitor Amy Leonard explained that the township will be able to draft documents to put the project up for bid. The township hopes to complete the project sometime this year.
