The heat is finally turned off. The weather is getting bright and sunny. It’s one of our favorite times of the year, ice cream season!

Spring is a glorious time of year. And the critic crew is ready to get outside. What better way to kick it off than with some soft ice cream. And we saw one place that has added some new items to its menu and we had to give them a try.

Located in the village of Campbelltown, Annie’s Soft Ice Cream is a walk up stand that has a small seating area along the Horseshoe Pike. There are two windows with separate lines that go quickly. Annie’s is cash only.

One new addition that caught the eye of one critic was ice cream nachos. This treat ($5.50) comes with a large serving of choice of soft ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, or black raspberry), waffle chips, and flavored dip, which can be any choice of sundae topping. Today we chose peanut butter.

This treat is not messy and easily manageable to eat. It gives the feel of a deconstructed sundae. The waffle chips are crisp, so it really does seem like you’re eating cold nachos. And of course, the ice cream is very creamy with a nice and smooth texture.

Our take: The soft ice cream has always been a treat. They have a menu of frozen treats that that is rival to anywhere else. This season they have even added some new treats to the menu; ice cream pies, ice cream nachos, and others. The ice cream sandwiches are always a fan favorite as well. There is usually a long line waiting for their treats which means they must be good.

We give this place 🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦.

Be on the lookout as we our gearing up for our next “War.
