With a guilty verdict for all counts except those involving conspiracy, a jury ended the Commonwealth’s case against Scott Kirchner II of Lebanon, who now awaits sentencing scheduled for 8:30am on October 17. In total, Kirchner was found guilty in 10 of the 12 first degree felony charges he faced.
Judge Samuel Kline presided over the case against Kirchner, will preside over his sentencing, and would be presiding over the trial for Kirchner’s alleged accomplice, Charles Holloway, scheduled to begin October 22, although according to court documents it appears that Holloway has submitted a plea for consideration.
During the trial, Lebanon Daily News reporter Daniel Walmer described the scene at the courthouse where Lebanon County District Attorney Dave Arnold argued that Kirchner had been the gunman who shot Joseph Blanco, whose house they had invaded seeking drugs and cash kept by Blanco’s narcotics-dealing son, Cory.
While Kirchner was though to have escaped the night of the incident through a second-floor bathroom window, his co-defendant Charles Holloway was detained at the Blanco house when Lebanon police responded to emergency calls.
Attorney Shawn Curry of Harrisburg represented Kirchner. Holloway is represented by Corey Lamoureux of Reilly Wolfson.
