Here are the most recent food safety violations in Lebanon County, as documented by Pennsylvania’s Department of Agriculture.

Inspections are taken as a “snapshot” of the day and time, and should not necessarily be taken as overall indicators of an establishment’s cleanliness. Violations are often corrected prior to the inspector leaving the site

Hornings Market – 905 S. College St, Myerstown (11/6/2018)

101.11 Safe, Unadulterated & Honestly Presented: Several dented and distressed canned items observed on display and intended for use or sale in the food facility.

501.12 Cleaning, Frequency and Restrictions:
Rear storage area has debris on floor around pallets in several areas.

Twin Kiss  – 361 W. Lincoln Ave, Myerstown (11/6/2018)

305.11 Food Storage, Preventing Contamination from the Premises: Containers were allowed to rest on the floor during filling from a larger container, providing for possible contamination when the receiving containers are handled or placed on work surfaces.

305.4 Food Preparation: Exposed food preparation observed in grill area under dirty ventilation ducts, and subject to potential contamination.

601.11(A) Equipment, Food Contact Surfaces, Nonfood Contact Surfaces and Utensils: Several food contact items, tongs, potato peeler, and fry cutter were observed to have food residue and were not clean to sight and touch.

602.13 Nonfood-Contact Surfaces: WALK-IN COOLER Observed dust accumulation on the fan guards.

Naples Pizza – 52 N Londonderry Square, Palmyra (11/5/2018)

301.11 Handwashing Cleanser, Availability: Soap was not available at the handwash sink in the front service counter area.

501.12 Cutting Surfaces: Observed the main area cutting board with excessive grooves, not smooth & easily cleanable.

501.14 Warewashing Equipment, Cleaning Frequency:  Mechanical warewashing machine has hard water/scale buildup inside.

602.13 Nonfood-Contact Surfaces: Non-food contact surfaces are not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Observed dried food particles & residue inside bottoms of the refrigeration units & grease/food particles on the floor under cooking equipment.
