The Friends of the Annville Free Library are looking for book donors in advance of the organization’s seventh annual Big Book Sale planned for next month.
The Big Book Sale will be held at the Annville United Methodist Church from April 10 to 13, with a private kick off sale the evening of Wednesday April 10 that’s accessible for $5 per adult. The public main sale will be open 10am – 8pm on Thursday and Friday and 9am – 2pm on Saturday. More than 12,000 books are expected to be available.
The book sale helps the library pay for expenses including circulation, equipment, and special programs.
Hardcover books are $2 and paperbacks are $1. On Saturday, bring your own grocery sized bags and fill them for only $2 per bag. (Prices corrected after publication.)
Books are sorted into categories like history, entertainment, gardening, science, biography, travel, etc. Organizers say that a nice assortment of rare and collectible books as well as jigsaw puzzles and DVDs are included in this year’s sale. Children will be pleased to find a separate room devoted to children’s books.
Volunteers from the church will be selling Mr. Sticky’s famous stick buns as well as lunch items and beverages.
The event will be held in the church basement. Handicap accessible entrance in the back of the church.
