Bethel Township
This crash occurred on April 1 around 12:50am on I-78 West at mile post 7.1, Bethel Township, Lebanon County. I-78 in the area of this crash is a 4 lane divided concrete highway with two westbound lanes and two eastbound lanes. The posted speed limits is 65 MPH. The westbound and eastbound lanes are divided by a grass median and useable shoulders on both sides. Unit 1, a 2010 Honda Civic, was traveling in the left westbound lane when it lost control and its front right corner struck the guide wire located along the left shoulder. Operator 1, a 17 year old New Jersey male, was not injured. Unit 1 was towed by Joe May’s Towing. Operator 1 was cited for VC 3309 – Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic. Charge pending before MDJ Wolfe (52-3-03).
City of Lebanon
A 26 year old Lebanon woman has been cited for Criminal Mischief after an incident on 3-14-19 at 2151 hours on the 400 block of Maple Street. The woman is accused of breaking the rear window of the victim’s vehicle causing damage in the amount of $483.96.
A 23 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Public Drunkenness on 3-26-19 at 1059 hours on the 500 block of S. 9th Street.
A 44 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Disorderly Conduct on 3-21-19 at 0012 hours on the 500 block of Cumberland Street.
Charges of Aggravated Assault, Criminal Mischief and Possession of Instruments of Crime have been filed against Carlos Tamayo-Ferrera, 34 year old Lebanon man after a fight between him and a 47 year male on 3-13-19 at 1512 hours on the 100 block of N. 9th Street. Tamayo is accused of striking the victim with a baseball bat causing injury to the victim’s arm. Tamayo is also accused of striking the victim’s vehicle causing damage estimated to be in excess of $1,000. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
A 22 year old Lebanon man has been charged with Retail Theft and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after being accused of taking merchandise from a store on 3-23-19 at 2028 hours on the 300 block of Walnut Street. When taken into custody it is alleged he possessed drug paraphernalia. It was also learned he was wanted by authorities in New Jersey for possession of drugs and possession of a weapon. He was subsequently charged as a Fugitive From Justice. He was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ Carl Garver. He was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $10,000 for the retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia and $15,000 on the fugitive from justice charge.
Charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked, Driving on Right Side of Roadway, Inspection by Police or Commonwealth Personnel, Required Financial Responsibility, Littering and Disorderly Conduct have been filed against a 31 year old Lebanon man after a traffic accident on 3-17-19 at 0046 hours on the 700 block of Spring Street. He refused to submit to the blood alcohol testing.
A 30 year old Bronx, NY resident has been charged with a Protection From Abuse violation by allegedly making contact with the victim of the PFA on 3-22-19 at 1549 hours on the 500 block of Lehman Street. The victim was not injured. The man was located a short time after the reported violation. It was discovered he had a Lebanon County Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear. When taken into custody police allege he provided a name other than his own. During a search of the man upon arrest, police allege he possessed a small amount of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with False Identification to Law Enforcement, Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ Carl Garver. He was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $50,000 on the PFA violation and $50,000 on the additional charges.
A charge of Retail Theft has been filed against a 21 year old Lebanon man after being accused of attempting to take merchandise from a store on 2-25-19 at 1326 hours on the 800 block of Chestnut Street. Total attempted loss to the merchant is $5.00.
Charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked have been filed against a 30 year old Hummelstown man after contact with Lebanon County Probation Officers on 3-25-19 at 1346 hours at 508 Oak Street. The man was incarcerated on the 25th due to a probation violation.
A 48 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with a Protection From Abuse Order violation on 3-26-19 at 1750 hours on the 200 block of S. 11th Street. He is accused of making contact with the 43 year old victim. The victim was not injured as a result of the contact. The man was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ John Ditzler. He was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $1,000 bail.
Heidelberg Township
On March 31 around 4:05am, a crash occurred in the area of 101 East Reistville Road, Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County. East Reistville Road is a two-lane roadway traversing east and west, marked by a double yellow line dividing the lanes of travel. This crash occurred as Unit 1 was traveling westbound on East Reistville Road, Unit 1 left its lane of travel and struck a street sign and vinyl fence on the southbound shoulder of the roadway. Unit 1 then fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP-Jonestown.
