Gretna Theatre will be offering a series of shows this summer geared toward children .
Gretna Theatre’s 2019 Kids Series will feature five shows over the course of the summer, each one taking place on a Saturday morning at 11am.
The first show in the series, The Brave Little Tailor, will be on June 15. The show is based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale and is presented on the Gretna Theatre stage by Enchantment Theatre Company.
Rainbow Fish The Musical will be performed on June 29. The show based on the well-known children’s book is making its regional debut. Book, music, and lyrics by Austin Zumbro.
Next, Aladdin will take to the Gretna Theatre stage on July 20. This version of the classic story is presented by Family Stages.
A musical adaptation of Goldilocks And The Three Bears can be seen on July 27th. Music by George Stiles with book and lyrics by Anthony Drewe.
And finally, the series closes on August 3 with the classic story of Pinocchio.
Gretna Theatre’s Kids Series is sponsored by The Hershey Company and Wegmans, and in part by Anne Brossman Sweigart Charitable Foundation, The Anne M. and Philip H. Glatfelter, III Family Foundation, H Glenn Sample, Jr. MD Memorial Foundation, and McCormick Family Foundation.
Each kid in attendance will receive a treat courtesy of The Hershey Company.
A subscription to all five shows is $32 per person. Tickets for each individual show are $8 a piece.
