Saturday at the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center, firefighters from around Lebanon County will convene for the 97th Lebanon County Firefighters’ Convention.
The Convention is put on each year by the Lebanon County Firefighters’ Association.
This year’s convention begins Friday night with a memorial service at Living Waters Chapel in Lebanon.
Events continue on Saturday at the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center. There will be coffee and pastries at 8am before the convention begins at 9am with featured speaker, U.S. Congressman Dan Meuser. A meeting will follow where annual awards will be given out and some LCFA business will be handled.
After lunch—at approximately 1pm—the apparatus muster, demonstrations, and a dedication for some of the training center’s newest additions will take place at the Lebanon County Fire Training Center, which the association is responsible for. This part of the day is open to the public.
The apparatus muster will feature fire equipment from both fire departments and private collections, with prize money awarded to the winners in each category.
The convention will be presided over by LCFA President Carl Bachman.
