Construction fences are up and work is beginning on a new gas station at Weis Markets on S. 12th Street in Lebanon.
Back in January, LebTown looked into rumors that a gas station was coming to the location after the lot containing Goodwill had been purchased by Weis Markets for over $1 million.
At the time, Weis declined to comment on the purchase, and a spokesperson for Goodwill, which occupies the storefront, said that the location will continue to operate for the foreseeable future.
A yard sign at the entrance to Weis indicates that a gas station will be “coming soon” to the location.
Weis’s Gas N’ Go stations are an option for customers to redeem Weis Gas Rewards points. Previously, the nearest Weis Gas N’ Go location was in Ephrata.
