LebTown ventured out to Southeast Playground on Saturday morning to capture the scene at the 5th Annual Sweep the Streets High School Varsity 5-on-5 Tournament.

The eight Lebanon County teams in the tournament were: Annville-Cleona, Cedar Crest, ELCO, Lebanon, Lebanon Catholic, Lebanon Christian, New Covenant, and Northern Lebanon.

According to Pat Huggin’s dispatch from Lebanon Christian Academy, where the tournament relocated after the rain started Saturday afternoon, the ELCO Raiders ended Cedar Crest’s four year run at the tournament with a 58-32 title game victory over the Falcons.

The 12th Annual Sweep the Streets (Adult) Tournament will be held August 3-4. Teams (and sponsors) should contact the organizers on Facebook if interested.

All together, it was a nice morning to hang out and shoot some hoops. The afternoon was a different story, but we weren’t there for that part.

If you have an event and would like to see it included in an upcoming article or weekend planner, email it to us at news@leb.town.
