The Board of Directors of the United Way of Lebanon County has named Brooke Smith as the organization’s new CEO.

Smith brings with her a lengthy resume of nonprofit experience, including stops as Executive Director of Compeer of Lebanon County, Director of Community Impact for United Way of Lebanon County, and Prenatal to Third Grade Coordinator for Community Action Partnership (CAP) of Lancaster County.

While in the role of Impact Director, Smith was instrumental in kickstarting Lebanon County’s 2-1-1 social services hotline and the 2017 community needs assessment process, which helped move the United Way of Lebanon County’s current collective impact model of funding.

Smith is a Lebanon County native and currently resides within the county with her family.

“We are enthusiastic about Brooke’s return to United Way as our new CEO” said Phil Domencic, United Way of Lebanon County Board President, in a press release. “Her broad nonprofit expertise, familiarity with United Way, and deep connection to our community will serve our mission well.”

Smith’s first official day on the job will be August 12. The United Way Campaign Kickoff on August 16 will offer the opportunity for the community to meet Smith. You can RSVP to the event here.

According to Smith, she is looking forward to serving the community in which she grew up.

“I am thrilled to have this opportunity to return to my roots and do work that I love. I am passionate about our community and look forward to working alongside our partners to build a stronger future for Lebanon County,” she said.
