Hebron Bingo Hall is in need of a new owner.
Located at 544 E Cumberland Street in South Lebanon Township, the 0.56 acre lot/~11,000 SF site was listed this month by Bering Real Estate. The asking price is $459,900.
According to agent Jared Armstrong, the property generates just north of $46,000 annually. The property generates income through four apartments upstairs (which have private/semi-private entrances) as well as the namesake bingo operation/event space on the ground floor.
Currently bingo happens at the facility 4-5 times each week, with the different hosting organizations paying rent to owner Casim Incorporated.
Casim Incorporated is a family company tied to the Hebron Bingo Hall’s original founder, Clarence S. “Fat” Dohner of Lebanon. Dohner, who passed in 1991, was a longtime Lebanon Steel Foundry employee and also served with a number of local fire companies (including Hebron).
Family representative Dawn Dohner told LebTown that with her and her brother no longer based locally, finding a local owner is a goal for them. “I would like to see it stay like that (as a bingo hall),” said Dohner.
The building could potentially be subdivided as well. It features a full kitchen that could be used as a working kitchen with the proper licensing.
Although the bingo equipment itself isn’t included in the sale place, Armstrong said that it may be negotiable to a prospective buyer.
“It certainly presents a unique investment opportunity for Lebanon County,” said Armstrong. “The approved uses for a property like this are pretty broad.”
The lot was said to see 16,000 – 18,000 of daily traffic volume on adjacent 422.
