Deer Struck – A 27-year-old Jonestown woman struck a deer at 6:51 AM today on Boyd Street near SR 419. No injury. Vehicle was drivable. The deer had to be destroyed.
Jackson Township
This single-vehicle crash occurring on October 27 at 8:22 AM which resulted in property damage occurred as Unit 1, a 2009 Nissan Sentra driven by a 20-year-old Myerstown woman, was traveling north on SR 501 and its operator fell asleep behind the wheel. Because of Operator 1’s physical condition, Unit 1 left the roadway and impacted a tree, this resulted in damage of a tree and an unoccupied structure (shed) which was located north of the impacted tree. The above listed damage was caused by debris coming from the vehicle being propelled at the unoccupied structure and through a window located on the 7 o’clock position of the unoccupied structure. The woman was cited with Driving on roadways laned for traffic.
North Londonderry Township
On September 27 at 2:28 PM at Walmart, Tony Kreider, a 39-year-old Palmyra man, was charged with Retail Theft after he failed to pay for items valued at $29.08. Kreider was taken to Central Booking.
On October 26 at 4:04 PM, the North Londonderry Township Police Department investigated a crash at Gravel Hill Rd. and Bindnagles Rd. where a 55-year-old Jonestown man lost control of his vehicle and his vehicle overturned after a vehicle coming towards him entered his lane and he swerved to avoid a collision. The man and his passenger, a 13-year-old female, were transported to Hershey Medical Center for minor injuries. Palmyra FD and Fire Police assisted at the scene. His vehicle was towed.
Swatara Township
On October 14 between 5:41 PM and 5:54 PM at BG’s Value Market in Jonestown, the suspect was observed to have removed razor blades from two separate packages and placing the razor blades within his pant pockets. The suspect proceeded to pay for additional grocery items with the razor blades within his pant pockets. The suspect proceeded to pay for additional grocery items with the razor blades within his pant pockets before exiting the grocery market and fleeing the scene on foot. At this time the investigation remains open.
West Cornwall Township
Accident – Occurred Saturday, 1:42 PM, on SR 117 at Butler Road. Vehicles driven by a 33-year-old Halifax man; a 64-year old Lebanon man; and a 57-year-old Mount Gretna woman. The Lebanon man and a passenger were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for examination.
