The Pennsylvania Department of Health announced Thursday that Lebanon County has its first confirmed case of the novel coronavirus.

The update was made at noon on the state’s county by county listing of coronavirus cases.

It is not clear where in the county the patient lives, but Northern Lebanon School District Superintendent Gary Messinger confirmed to the Daily News on Wednesday that a resident of the district had tested positive for the coronavirus.

Earlier this week, the Lebanon Veterans Affairs Medical Center confirmed that it had treated a veteran for COVID-19 before sending home to recover in self-quarantine.
