Bethel Township
Drug Possession – This crime occurred on June 7, 2020 at 11:47 a.m. In the commission of this crime, the Accused, Clayton Ressler, a 35 year old Newmanstown man, was stopped for a traffic violation on Shirksville Rd. and School Dr. in a 2006 Ford Escape. During the stop, criminal activity was detected. The Accused admitted to having methamphetamine and a scale in the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted in which the aforementioned items were seized. Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving With a DUI Suspended License were completed on the Accused. The Accused was transported to Lebanon County Central Booking for arraignment.
East Hanover Township
Overdose – On May 30, 2020 at approximately 10:20 p.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to the 10,000 block of Jonestown Rd. for an overdose. The 30 year old Lancaster man was treated on scene and transported to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for further treatment.
Heidelberg Township
Harassment – On May 31, 2020 at 12:05 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to Heidelberg Ave. for the report of an individual, a 34 year old Schaefferstown man, with a shovel. An investigation revealed that the individual was stopped prior to the situation escalating. The Victim was a 52 year old Myerstown man. A citation for Harassment was issued.
Receiving Stolen Property – On June 10, 2020 at 10:57 a.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to Old Mill Rd. for a report of found property. Information inside the purse provided a possible owner. The owner, a 35 year old Duncannon woman, was contacted and it was found the purse was reported stolen the day prior in South Lebanon.
Jackson Township
Harassment – On June 9, 2020 at approximately 2:40 p.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to the report of a See Officer on the 100 block of North Ramona Dr. Upon arrival at approximately 3:02 p.m., troopers spoke to the Witness who related their neighbor, whom they have never had contact with, walked over from his trailer and began to yell at them and threaten them. Troopers spoke to the Witness’s husband, the Victim, a 74 year old Myerstown man, who related he did not understand why his neighbor was yelling and threatening them. The Victim related he and his wife, the Witness, were maintaining their property. The Victim further related he was terminally ill and is aided by an oxygen tank. Troopers spoke to the neighbor, the Arrestee, a 57 year old Myerstown man, who related he believed the Victim was mocking him. The Arrestee related the Victim would mock his cough and the mocking has been going on for over a year. The Arrestee was cited for Harassment and told not to make contact, verbal or otherwise, to the Victim or the Witness.
Myerstown Borough
Child Custody Order Violation – On May 30, 2020 at approximately 12:34 a.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to the 100 block of East Main Ave. for a child custody issue. The juvenile remained with the mother for the night due to her wellbeing. Children & Youth Services and Crisis were notified. The investigation is currently ongoing.
South Londonderry Township
Car Fire – The South Londonderry Township Police Department is investigating a car fire which occurred in the morning hours of June 6, 2020, near the trailers to the rear of the laundromat in Campbelltown along State Route 322. The fire was extinguished by the Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company. The Pennsylvania State Police is assisting in the investigation. Anyone with information regarding the fire is asked to contact the police at 717-838-1376.
Swatara Township
PFA Violation – On June 5, 2020 at 4:40 p.m., troopers responded to Quarry Rd. for a report of a possible PFA violation. Upon arrival on scene, it was determined the Defendant, Larry Kreiser, a 50 year old Lebanon man, was indeed in violation of the PFA. The Defendant was later taken into custody and charged. The Victim was a 49 year old Lebanon woman.
Union Township
Drug Possession – On June 7, 2020 at approximately 10:49 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to Moonshine Rd. for a motor vehicle crash involving a 2011 Toyota RAV4. It was determined that the Operator was in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and related paraphernalia. Charges are to be filed.
Drug Possession – On May 25, 2020 at 4:15 p.m., State Police stopped a 2005 Nissan Altima on SR 72 and Allentown Blvd. Investigation revealed the Operator, Justin Souder, a 40 year old Harrisburg man, to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A passenger was also observed depositing waste on a highway. Charges are pending.
Vehicle Accident – On June 3, 2020 at approximately 6:27 p.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to a reported crash on SR 72 at Pine Tree Rd. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2016 Chevrolet Trax, was traveling north on SR 72 when Operator 1, a 21 year old Liverpool, NY man, began to lose control of Unit 1 and subsequently crashed into a tree. Operator 1 was not injured and refused medical transport. A passenger was possibly injured and was transported by Lifeline Medical SVCS. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.
Vehicle Accident – On June 8, 2020 at 2:56 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2003 Nissan Altima, and Unit 2, a 2004 Ford Expedition, were traveling southbound on SR 72. Unit 1 was traveling behind Unit 2 when Operator 1, a 19 year old Pine Grove woman, became distracted and did not observe Unit 2 slowing down for traffic conditions ahead, causing Unit 1 to rear-end Unit 2. After impact, Unit 1 came to its position of final rest partially in the southbound lane where impact occurred. Unit 2 exited the roadway via the west shoulder. Operator 1 and Operator 2, a 46 year old Landisville woman, reported no injuries as a result of this accident.
Vehicle Accident – On June 9, 2020 at approximately 1:32 p.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to a reportable crash on I 78 West at mile marker 1.3 involving Unit 1, a 2011 Honda CRV. This crash occurred as Operator 1, a 49 year old St. Charles, MO man, was traveling west on I 78 in the left lane. Operator 1 was distracted by his GPS which caused him to drift off the left side of the roadway. Operator 1 then overcorrected and went off the right side of the roadway and ended up on its side. Operator 1 was not injured as a result of this accident.
