It’s a setup that’s almost hard to imagine now.
Back in the spring of 2005, WITF equipped citizens across Central PA with camcorders to capture slices of life in their hometowns. In Lebanon County, Annville was the location of this documentary effort – a snapshot of the age right before smartphones and social media became ubiquitous.
On Wednesday, June 17, WITF will hold a virtual watch party for the Annville episode. “Due to COVID-19, this year’s Old Annville Day summer street fair was cancelled,” said WITF in a release. “So instead we’re dusting off this virtual ‘time capsule’ to celebrate the community and take a look back at life in Annville circa mid-2000s.”
The watch party will be conducted through the online service Ovee. Create an account and RSVP for the watch party here.
Here’s a trailer of the episode, in case you need an idea of what to expect.
