Bethel Township

Drug Possession – On July 18, 2020 at approximately 1:39 a.m., troopers stopped a 2015 Jeep for a turn signal violation on the 2,000 block of SR 22. Upon contacting the Operator of the vehicle, he admitted to a THC vaporizer being located in the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted. A vaporizer containing a suspected THC cartridge was discovered. The Arrestee was a 21 year old State College man. Investigation is ongoing.

East Hanover Township

Drug Possession – On July 17, 2020 at approximately 11:33 p.m., troopers stopped a 2012 Chrysler for numerous traffic violations on Allentown Blvd. and Indiantown Gap Rd. Upon stopping the vehicle, the odor of marijuana was detected coming from within the vehicle and suspected marijuana was observed in plain view in the door. A probable cause search was conducted. Suspected marijuana and suspected cocaine were discovered. The Arrestee was a 29 year old East Hanover Twp. man. Investigation is ongoing.

Jackson Township

Theft – On July 15, 2020 at 4:07 p.m., PSP responded to East Kercher Ave. for a report of a theft. The Complainant/Victim, a 77 year old Myerstown woman, was contacted by unknown Actor(s) and was informed that she was involved in a federal investigation. The Victim was told she had to pay for fines and cost by purchasing Walmart gift cards. The Victim related that she purchased approximately $1,500 worth of gift cards until she believed it was a scam. No immediate leads were available. PSP is investigating.

Lebanon City

Drug Possession – On July 16, 2020 at 1:18 a.m., at North 12th St. and Scull St., PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop on a 2013 Toyota Corolla. The Operator of the vehicle was found to be in possession of approximately four ounces of marijuana. Charges are to be filed.

Public Drunkenness – Thomas Gettle, a 58 year old with no permanent address, has been cited for Public Drunkenness on July 10, 2020 at 1:49 a.m. on the 100 block of North Chapel St. Gettle was transported to LCCB due to a warrant through State Parole.

Public Indecency, Scattering Rubbish – A 45 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Public Indecency and Scattering Rubbish on July 10, 2020 at 2:14 a.m. on the 200 block of North 7th St. He is accused of defecating in public view and discarding waste paper.

Curfew – A 17 year old female Lebanon resident has been cited for Curfew on July 9, 2020 at 11:51 p.m. at South 13 St. and Washington St.

Public Drunkenness – A 42 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Public Drunkenness on July 12, 2020 at 12:26 a.m. on the 400 block of Spring St.

Harassment – A 34 year old Lebanon woman has been cited for Harassment after an incident on June 19, 2020 at 6:48 p.m. on the 300 block of Park Ave.

Drug Possession – A 27 year old Annville man has been cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia on July 12, 2020 at 6:14 p.m. on the 1,200 block of Cumberland St.

Fireworks Prohibited – A 42 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Fireworks Prohibited on July 3, 2020 at 9:40 p.m. on the 800 block of Lehman St.

Harassment, Simple Assault – A 45 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Harassment and a charge of Simple Assault has been filed against Luz Pizarro, a 48 year old Lebanon resident, after an incident on June 29, 2020 at 4:02 p.m. on the 300 block of Lehman St. The 45 year old man is accused of slapping the 40 year old Victim on her face during an altercation between the two. Luz Pizarro became involved in the altercation and is accused of punching the Victim, causing a fracture to the Victim’s nose. The Victim did require medical attention. No other injuries were reported.

Harassment – A 28 year old Lebanon resident has been cited for Harassment on July 13, 2020 at 11:08 a.m. on the 600 block of Quentin Rd.

Disorderly Conduct – Jeffrey Tittle, a 57 year old Lebanon resident, has been charged with Disorderly Conduct on July 13, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. on the 500 block of Oak St. Tittle was advised earlier this date to not drive a riding lawnmower on the City streets and to not cut grass on random private property he had no authority to mow. Tittle continued this behavior, requiring contact with police. Tittle is also on Lebanon County Probation, a detainer was placed on Tittle. The Disorderly Conduct charge was filed.

Arrest Warrant – A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Fernando Melendez, a 38 year old Lebanon resident, after an incident on July 13, 2020 at 10:49 p.m. on the 400 block of Spruce St. Melendez has been charged with Simple Assault (domestic violence related) after being accused of punching the 37 year old Victim several times, causing swelling and bruising to her face. The Victim did receive medical care as a result of the assault. Melendez fled the scene prior to police arrival and, as of this release, has not been located.

Drug Possession, Public Drunkenness – Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Public Drunkenness have been filed against Eric Hitz, a 28 year old Lebanon resident, after receiving the drug testing results from an incident which occurred on April 24, 2020 at 9:41 p.m. on the 700 block of East Lehman St.

Burglary, Simple Assault – Henry Howell, a 56 year old Stroudsburg resident, and Joseph Howell, a 54 year old Binghamton, NY resident, have been charged with Burglary and Simple Assault (domestic violence related) after being accused of entering the 38 year old Victim’s home without permission and punching the Victim several times, causing bruising and swelling to the Victim’s eyes. The Victim and Joseph Howell had previously been in a relationship.

Simple Assault – Willis Howell, a 27 year old Lebanon resident, has been charged with 2 counts of Simple Assault (domestic violence related) after an incident on July 15, 2020 at 6:10 p.m. at 5th St. and Cumberland St. Howell is accused of pointing a gun at the two Victims, a 56 year old male and a 54 year old male, during a verbal argument. The Victims were not injured as a result of this incident. Howell was apprehended at another location and transported to LCCB. The handgun was not recovered. He was arraigned before MDJ Kim Wolfe and incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Harassment – A 33 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Harassment after an incident on July 16, 2020 at 5:40 p.m. on the 800 block of Locust St.

Drug Possession – A 28 year old Annville man has been cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia on July 15, 2020 at 2:10 p.m. on the 00 block of North 5th Ave.

Scattering Rubbish – A 17 year old male Lebanon resident has been cited for Scattering Rubbish after investigation into an incident on July 1, 2020 at 7:17 p.m. on Concentrator Rd. The juvenile is accused of dumping several bags of trash, boxes, a tire, a small refrigerator, and several other items to included broken pieces of furniture.

Indecent Exposure, Open Lewdness – Charges of Indecent Exposure and Open Lewdness have been filed against Clyde Kleinfelter, an 81 year old Lebanon resident, after investigation into an incident that occurred on July 5, 2020 at 8:34 p.m. on the 400 block of New St. Kleinfelter is accused of appearing to masturbate, having his hand down the front of his pants and at one point exposing his penis while several juveniles were in the immediate area and could have seen his actions. This occurred while on his porch. A parent confronted Kleinfelter who immediately returned inside his home. No physical contact occurred between Kleinfelter and the juveniles.

DUI – A charge of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance has been filed against Isaiah Davis, a 28 year old North Lebanon Twp. resident, after being found in his vehicle on Canal St. near Lincoln Ave. on May 21, 2020 at 10:35 p.m. Police allege the blood test results from a sample of Davis’s blood at the time of the incident confirmed the presence of THC (marijuana), Benzoylecgonine (cocaine), and Fetanyl.

Millcreek Township

Vehicle Accident – On July 10, 2020 at 7:47 a.m., this crash occurred in the area of the 600 block of SR 419. This was a single vehicle crash that occurred as Unit 1, a 2017 Ford Transit, driven by Operator 1, a 51 year old Denver man, was traveling west on SR 419, approaching building 601. As Unit 1 approached the area, Operator 1 became distracted by dropping an item on the floor of his vehicle. Operator 1 bent down to retrieve the item, at which time Unit 1 left the roadway and struck the mailbox of building 601. Unit 1 then traveled approximately 50 yards before coming to final rest on the right shoulder of the roadway. Unit 1 sustained damage to its front bumper and front passenger’s side axle. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by Millcreek Towing. No injuries occurred as a result of this crash.

Myerstown Borough

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On July 16, 2020 at approximately 11:06 p.m., troopers responded to a report of an incident which occurred at the Myerstown Park, located at West Center Ave. Upon arrival, the Victim, a 54 year old Millville woman, informed troopers that she was sleeping in her car in the park when two unknown individuals approached her vehicle and smashed in the rear driver’s side window. Investigation is ongoing.

North Lebanon Township

DUI – On July 20, 2020 at 12:02 a.m., at Prescott Dr. and Strack Dr., PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop. The Operator of the vehicle, Joshua Walker, a 33 year old Newmanstown man, was determined to be under the influence of controlled substances. He was also in possession of related drug paraphernalia. Charges are to be filed.

North Londonderry Township

Theft – North Londonderry Twp. police department filed charges against Steven Colledge, a 42 year old Annville resident, for his involvement in an incident which took place at Lowe’s, located at 70 North Londonderry Sq., on July 9, 2020 at 11:36 a.m. An investigation revealed that Colledge was taking money from Lowe’s on multiple occasions. The total loss to Lowe’s was $3,210. Colledge was charged with one count of Theft by unlawful taking. Colledge was an employee at Lowe’s.

Swatara Township

Vehicle Accident – On July 8, 2020 at 3:23 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia 125, driven by Operator 2, a 54 year old Lawrenceville, GA man, was disabled in the right lane of travel on I 78 West, near mile marker 2.1. Unit 2 was utilizing its emergency flashers and displayed emergency triangles on the roadway. At the time of this crash, it was raining and the roadway was wet. Unit 1, a 2013 Volvo D13, driven by Operator 1, a 33 year old Brooklyn, NY man, was traveling in the right lane of travel, traveling at approximately 55 mph. Unit 1 did not observe Unit 2 disabled in the right lane of travel. Unit 1 attempted to turn in the left lane of travel and subsequently struck the concrete bridge wall and guard rail at this location. Unit 1 then struck Unit 2 on its driver’s side portion, puncturing its fuel tank. Unit 1 then struck the concrete bridge wall and guard rail on the right side of the roadway. Unit 3, a 2004 Nissan Sentra, driven by Operator 3, a 28 year old Palmyra woman, was traveling behind Unit 1 and approximately four car lengths behind Unit 4, a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia, driven by Operator 4, a 53 year old Grand Prairie, TX man, at approximately 55 mph. Unit 3 observed Unit 2 stopped in the roadway when Unit 1 and Unit 4 turned in the left lane of travel. Unit 3 attempted to utilize its brakes but because of the wet road conditions was unable to stop. Unit 3 struck the rear of Unit 2’s trailer and was entrapped. Unit 4 was traveling behind Unit 1 in the right lane of travel. Unit 4 was able to turn into the left lane of travel and only sustained minor damage. Operator 1 sustained unknown injuries and was transported by Hamburg EMS to Reading Hospital. Operator 2 sustained minor injuries and was transported by First Aid Safety and Patrol to Good Samaritan Hospital. Operator 3 was extricated by mechanical means by Fredericksburg Fire Department. Operator 3 sustained major injuries and was transported by Hamburg EMS to Reading Hospital. Operator 4 did not sustain any injuries. I 78 was shut down from Exit 8 to Exit 1 for approximately 8 hours. All Units involved in this crash were towed by Motter’s Towing.

Union Township

Theft – Between July 3, 2020 at 8:25 p.m. and July 6, 2020 at 4:54 p.m., State Police received a report of a possible theft involving a cell phone. The theft was believed to have occurred at the scene of a crash on the 3,000 block of SR 72. The two Victims were a 43 year old Bethel man and a 43 year old Bethel woman. Investigation is ongoing.
