Bethel Township
Vehicle Accident – On July 20, 2020 at 2:38 p.m., this two-vehicle reportable crash occurred at the intersection of Mt. Zion Rd. and Greble Rd. Unit 1, a 2012 Ford Focus, driven by Operator 1, Priscilla Weaver, a 24 year old Lebanon woman, was stopped at a stop sign, going east on Greble Rd., while Unit 2, a 2017 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Operator 2, George Hetrick, an 82 year old Lebanon man, was traveling south on Mt. Zion Rd. Unit 1 failed to obey the duties at a stop sign and did not yield to Unit 2. Unit 1 pulled out into the intersection and was struck by Unit 2 at its 5 o’clock position. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage and Unit 2 sustained minor damage. Unit 1 was towed by the Operator’s own personal tow. No injuries were reported at the scene. Driver Exchange Reports were provided to both Operators.
Burglary – On July 11, 2020 at 7:58 a.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to a burglary at Locust Ave. In the commission of this crime, the Accused entered the detached garage through a side window. The Accused then stole two Craftsmen drills, two belt sanders, and two screw cabinets. The Accused then left the garage through the main entrance and fled the scene. The Accused was later interviewed and a confession to the burglary was obtained. Appropriate charges will be filed. The Victim was a 64 year old Cleona woman.
Cleona Borough
Theft – On July 18, 2020 at approximately 10:59 p.m., troopers responded to the 00 block of Dogwood Ln. for a report of a theft. The Victim, Michelle Fulk, a 45 year old Cleona woman, related she sent approximately $900 to an unknown individual via “Cash App,” an application on her phone, in exchange for a puppy. The Victim never received the puppy. Investigation is ongoing.
East Hanover Township
Vehicle Accident – On July 10, 2020 at 1:40 p.m., Unit 1, a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Operator 1, Lindsey Good, a 35 year old Annville woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 12 year old Cornwall female, and Passenger 2, a 13 year old Annville female, was stopped at a clearly posted stop sign, facing northbound on Bull Frog Rd. Unit 2, a 2011 Chevrolet Avalanche, driven by Operator 2, Jeremy Garis, a 44 year old Annville man, accompanied by Passenger 3, Melissa Carruthers, a 44 year old Lebanon woman, and Passenger 4, Barbara Garis, a 66 year old Annville woman, was traveling westbound upon the main left lane of travel. Unit 1 failed to properly clear the intersection prior to crossing the said intersection. Unit 1 impacted Unit 2’s side. Unit 1 then continued forward, turning counterclockwise and came to final rest upon the right lane of SR 22 Westbound, facing southwest. Unit 2, being struck on its left side, was forced into the right lane and into a raised embankment. Unit 2 then continued westbound upon the embankment. Unit 2 then slid down the embankment and came to final rest upon the right lane of SR 22 Westbound, facing southwest. Operator 1 had suspected minor injuries. Operator 2 was not injured. It is unknown whether Passenger 1 and Passenger 2 were injured. Passenger 3 and Passenger 4 were injured, the severity of said injuries is unknown.
Lebanon City
Drug Possession – Charges of Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia have been filed against Hugh O’Donnell, a 62 year old Lebanon resident, after contact with police on July 12, 2020 at 9:08 p.m. on the 100 block of South Lincoln Ave.
Prohibitions Against Storm Water Discharge – A 75 year old North Cornwall man has been cited for Prohibitions Against Storm Water Discharge on July 8, 2020 at 3:15 p.m. on the 600 block of Cumberland St. Police allege the man allowed sewage to enter the storm drain system by pumping the sewage from his property into the storm drainage system.
Disorderly Conduct – A 20 year old North Lebanon man has been cited for Disorderly Conduct with a motor vehicle on July 18, 2020 at 11:49 p.m. at North 9th St. and Willow St.
Public Drunkenness – A 28 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Public Drunkenness on July 17, 2020 at 8:20 p.m. on the 900 block of Church St.
Public Drunkenness – A 49 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Public Drunkenness on July 13, 2020 at 7:37 p.m. on the 300 block of South 4th St.
Drug Possession – Charges of Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia have been filed against Paul Sovar Jr., a 54 year old Lebanon resident, after contact with police on July 12, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at North 9th St. and Water St.
Public Drunkenness, Possession Of Prohibited Weapons – Charges of Public Drunkenness and Possession of Prohibited Weapons have been filed against Victor Borusiewicz, a 23 year old Annville resident, after contact with police on June 19, 2020 at 8:29 p.m. on the 00 block of South 4th St. Borusiewicz is alleged to have been found intoxicated and in possession of metal knuckles and a spring-actuated knife, both the knuckles and knife are listed as prohibited offensive weapons.
Drug Manufacture – On July 8, 2020 at 10:57 a.m., State Police responded to the 1,000 block of Meily St. while searching for a wanted individual. While searching the said residence, a marijuana grow was observed in plain view. Marijuana plants, dried marijuana, and related paraphernalia were seized. The Arrestee was a 34 year old Lebanon man. Charges are to be filed.
Myerstown Borough
Vehicle Accident – On July 20, 2020 at 2:37 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a white 2019 Honda Passport, driven by Operator 1, a 60 year old Myerstown woman, was traveling south on South Locust St. in the area of the 100 block of South Locust St. For unknown reasons, Operator 1 crossed the northbound lane of travel and struck a utility pole. After impact with the utility pole, Unit 1 continued south and struck a tree in the 200 block of West Park Ave. Operator 1 sustained minor facial injuries and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for evaluation. Unit 1 sustained heavy front end damage and was towed from the scene.
Criminal Mischief $1,000+ – On July 20, 2020 at approximately 4:48 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to East Main Ave. for a report of criminal mischief. An unknown Actor, coming from an unknown location, approached the Victim’s vehicle, a Volkswagen, and placed several small rocks in the exhaust pipe. The Actor then left in an unknown direction by unknown means. The Victim, a 21 year old Myerstown man, was unable to provide a time frame in which the incident may have occurred. Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact PSP Jonestown.
North Cornwall Township
Theft – On June 6, 2020 and June 7, 2020, Noah Cooke, a 22 year old with an unknown address, was charged with Theft from a Motor Vehicle. Cooke was taking loose change from numerous vehicles on West Locust St. and Cleona Blvd.
Vehicle Accident – On July 18, 2020 at 3:01 p.m., an accident involving two vehicles occurred at K-Mart Plaza. A 27 year old Lebanon man sideswiped a vehicle owned by a 45 year old Lebanon man on the parking lot in front of PA Wine and Spirits. The vehicles sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash.
Theft – On July 8, 2020 at 8:33 a.m., Avery Kurtz, a 21 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking after an incident that occurred at Speedway, located at 2190 West Cumberland St. Kurtz took eight lottery tickets, failing to pay for the tickets. The total value of the stolen items was $230.00.
PFA Violation – On July 22, 2020 at 7:06 p.m., Anthony Santiago, a 32 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with violating a PFA order. Santiago knocked on the door where the Victim was staying in violation of the order.
North Lebanon Township
Drug Possession – On July 7, 2020 at 12:19 p.m., State Police stopped a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer at Joel Dr. and North 15th Ave. for an equipment violation. Indicators of criminal activity were observed and a search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine and related paraphernalia. The Arrestee was Glen Anders, a 39 year old Lebanon man. Charges are to be filed.
North Londonderry Township
Theft By Deception, Retail Theft – On July 19, 2020 at 1:30 p.m., Carl Miller, a 53 year old Womelsdorf resident, was charged with Theft by Deception and Retail Theft upon the completion of an investigation at Walmart, located at 100 North Londonderry Sq., Palmyra.
Traffic Control Signals – On July 18, 2020 at 2:30 p.m., a 63 year old Palmyra resident was cited for a Red Light Violation after riding a bicycle into a moving vehicle. A 21 year old Lebanon man had a green light while traveling west on Main St. Renoll Jr. was attempting to cross over Main St. on Apple Blossom Ln. when he struck Nieves’ vehicle.
Swatara Township
Vehicle Accident – On July 19, 2020 at 9:59 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2012 Harley-Davidson 12 Street Glyde, driven by Operator 1, a 34 year old Pine Grove man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 34 year old Pine Grove woman, was traveling east on Lickdale Rd. approaching its intersection with Werners Rd. A deer jumped in front of Unit 1, subsequently causing the crash of Unit 1. Unit 1 came to final rest facing east off the roadway on the south shoulder. Both Operator 1 and Passenger 1 reported no injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 1 sustained minimal damage. Operator 1 arranged his own tow. Operator 1 was determined to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
Union Township
Theft – Between July 3, 2020 at 8:25 p.m. and July 6, 2020 at 4:54 p.m., State Police received a report of a possible theft involving a cell phone. The theft was believed to have occurred at the scene of a crash on the 3,000 block of SR 72. The Victims were a 43 year old Bethel man and a 43 year old Bethel woman. Investigation is ongoing.
Public Drunkenness – On July 18, 2020 at 8:38 p.m., a 35 year old Boston, MA, man was found to be visibly intoxicated on the 00 block of Old Forge Rd. He was transported to Troop L-Jonestown, where he was cited for Crimes Code Violation 5505 – Public Drunkenness and Similar Misconduct.
Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On July 22, 2020 at approximately 7:55 a.m., the Victim, a 70 year old Newmanstown man, traveled to the PSP Jonestown station concerning damage to his vehicle, a 2001 General Motors Corp Yukon. The Victim explained there was a slight crack in his front windshield. The Victim related he did not know of anyone that would damage his vehicle. An area canvas was completed with negative results.
