Visiting Lebanon provides me an opportunity to see first-hand what our health care heroes are facing on the ground,” said Wilkie in a statement about the July 21 visit.
“I was so pleased to see how well South Central Pennsylvania Veterans are being cared for here.”
According to the release, Wilkie toured the Lebanon VA’s new cancer care and infusion clinic, the Intensive Care Unit, the Surgery Unit, and the Sterile Processing Service.
Wilkie was also said to have met with some veterans living in the hospital’s Community Living Centers.
