Bethel Township
Drug Possession – On July 7, 2020 at 8:27 a.m., State Police Jonestown conducted a traffic stop on a 1999 Volkswagen Cabriolet on SR 343, on Elm St. and South Pine Grove St., north of SR 22 in Bethel Twp. The Operator, Andy Oxenrider, a 49 year old Tower City man, was determined to be in possession of drugs and related paraphernalia. The Operator was also determined to have an active warrant. The Operator was taken into custody on his warrant and has been charged appropriately.
Cornwall Borough
Theft – Over the past week, several residents of the Spring Hill Acres development have reported the theft of political signs from the front of their property. The theft of such signs is a misdemeanor.
Theft, Drug Possession – Torri Ponessa, a 39 year old Cornwall resident, has been charged with Theft by Deception and Possession of a Controlled Substance by Fraud/Deception for an incident that occurred on May 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Cornwall Manor’s Corson Hall. Police were contacted by Cornwall Manor officials on May 15, 2020 reporting medical staff discovered 19 syringe plungers containing 200 doses of Ativan gel and a schedule IV controlled substance had been tampered with and refilled with body lotion. At the time of the incident, Ponessa was working as an LPN at Cornwall Manor.
Vehicle Accident – On July 16, 2020 at 10:36 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 117, east of Old Mine Rd. A 21 year old Myerstown woman was traveling east on SR 117 swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway and lost control of her vehicle, striking an embankment and rolling onto its side. Peiffer sustained a minor injury but refused treatment. The vehicle was towed.
East Hanover Township
Vehicle Accident – On July 23, 2020 at 1:53 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2016 Freightliner Truck Tractor, driven by Operator 1, a 42 year old West Berlin, NJ man, was traveling southbound on I 81. The weather condition was heavy rain. The roadway was wet. Unit 1 was located in the right lane of travel. He observed traffic slowing down just south of his position. Unit 1 skidded into the left lane of travel and then back into the right lane of travel. Unit 1 left the roadway and struck a guide rail on the right side of the roadway. Unit 1 sustained severe front end damage. Unit 1 was towed from the scene. Operator 1 was not injured as a result of this crash.
Jackson Township
Harassment – On July 23, 2020 at 3:03 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to North Locust St. for a report of a verbal domestic. Investigation revealed that a female struck a male on the bottom of the foot with a broom. The Arrestee was a 48 year old Myerstown woman. The Victim was a 48 year old Myerstown man.
Burglary – On July 23, 2020 at 5:29 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to Quarry Dr. for a report of a burglary and criminal mischief call. The Victim’s sheds were forcibly opened and items were spray painted. The Victim was a 74 year old Myerstown man. This incident is under investigation.
Harassment – On July 24, 2020 at 12:20 p.m., this crime occurred at North College St. In the commission of this crime, the Arrestee, a 53 year old Myerstown man, and the Victim, a 63 year old Myerstown man, were arguing over their property line. During the argument, the Victim was punched in the face one time by the Arrestee.
Theft – On June 28, 2020 at 8:34 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to West Lincoln Ave. for a theft of vehicle tires. The Victim reported she left her vehicle at a garage to be worked on and her vehicle tires were stolen. The Victims were a 35 year old Myerstown woman and a 38 year old Myerstown man.
Lebanon City
Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault – Rosa Rivera, a 51 year old Lebanon resident, has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Simple Assault (domestic violence related) after an incident on July 22, 2020 at 1:33 a.m. on the 300 block of Cumberland St. Rivera is accused of stabbing the 55 year old Victim with a kitchen knife after a verbal argument became physical. The Victim walked to the Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment, medical staff reported the incident to police. The Victim is recovering from a non-life-threatening wound to his lower abdomen. Rivera was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ Maria Dissinger. She was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Disorderly Conduct With A Motor Vehicle – A 17 year old male from Lebanon has been cited for Disorderly Conduct with a Motor Vehicle on July 22, 2020 at 6:10 p.m. on the 600 block of Hill St.
Drug Possession – Two 18 year old Lebanon men have been cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia on June 28, 2020 at 2:36 p.m. on the 700 block of Lehman St.
Curfew Violation – A 17 year old female, a 17 year old male, both from North Cornwall Twp., and a 17 year old male from Lebanon have all been cited for a Curfew violation on July 18, 2020 at 2:46 a.m. on the 100 block of South 12th St.
Open Container Of Alcohol – A 45 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Open Container of Alcohol on June 28, 2020 at 9:15 a.m. on the 100 block of North Chapel St.
Harassment – A 55 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Harassment after an incident on July 2, 2020 at 11:31 a.m. on the 800 block of Chestnut St.
Unsworn Falsification To Law Enforcement – Eric Wilborn, a 28 year old Lebanon resident, has been charged with Unsworn Falsification to Law Enforcement and False Identification to Law Enforcement on July 23, 2020 at 10:34 a.m. on the 300 block of North 5th St. Wilborn had contact with officers assisting Lebanon County Probation Officers. Wilborn identified himself with a name, date of birth, and social security number than his own. He also signed a fingerprint document using the false name. It was discovered Eric Wilborn was his correct name and had a bench warrant for his arrest through Lebanon County. He was arraigned before MDJ Maria Dissinger and received $5,000 unsecured bail. He was also released on $5,000 unsecured bail on the bench warrant.
Theft – A charge of Theft has been filed against Christine Laskey, a 30 year old Lebanon resident, after investigation into thefts from her employer on June 12, 2020, June 14, 2020, and June 21, 2020, at 800 South 12th St. Laskey is accused of scanning items through the register but not requiring payment for said items. Total loss to the merchant is $207.03.
Drug Possession – Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia have been filed against Christian Urena, a 20 year old Myerstown resident, after contact with police on June 15, 2020 at 3:45 p.m. on the 400 block of North 6th St.
Drug Possession – Charges of Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia have been filed against an 18 year old Lebanon man after police assisted Lebanon County Probation Officers on June 22, 2020 at 1:20 p.m. on the 900 block of Chestnut St.
Drug Possession – Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia have been filed against a 28 year old Lebanon man after contact with police on June 25, 2020 at 2:47 p.m. on the 200 block of East Cumberland St.
Drug Possession, One-Way Roadways, Drivers Required to be Licensed – Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, One-Way Roadways, and Drivers Required to be Licensed have been filed against a 66 year old Lebanon man after a traffic stop on June 28, 2020 at 12:33 p.m. on the 600 block of Spring St.
Drug Possession – On July 24, 2020 at 1:33 a.m., at East Lehman St. and Lancaster St., the Suspect was observed to be operating a silver 2009 Ford Focus with a suspended license. Upon contacting the Suspect, the strong odor of marijuana was detected and additional drug paraphernalia was observed in plain view. The Suspect exhibited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded the seizure of marijuana and additional drug paraphernalia.
Mt. Gretna Borough
Vehicle Accident – This crash occurred on July 20, 2020 at 10:45 a.m. on Pinch Rd. at Muhlenburg Ave. The vehicle, driven by an 84 year old Manheim man, traveled off the roadway and struck a retaining wall. No injuries occurred as a result of this crash. The vehicle was towed.
Vehicle Accident – This crash occurred on July 15, 2020 at 4:31 p.m. on SR 117 at Princeton Ave. The vehicles were driven by a 30 year old Manheim man and an 86 year old Mt. Gretna woman. No injuries occurred as a result of this crash. Both vehicles were towed.
Myerstown Borough
Retail Theft – On July 5, 2020 at 5:13 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to East Washington Ave. for a report of a retail theft. It was determined the Suspect stole a Beauty in Motion curling iron from the store. The total value of the stolen item was $150. Charges to be filed.
North Londonderry Township
Retail Theft – On July 17, 2020 at 1:18 p.m., Hector Baez-Crespo, a 21 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Retail Theft after taking tools at Lowes, located at 70 North Londonderry Sq., valued at $638 and failed to pay for them.
Penn Township
Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On July 22, 2020 at 5:46 a.m., PSP Jonestown investigated a road rage incident on Bernville Rd. that turned into rocks being thrown at the Victim’s vehicle, a 2003 General Motors Corp Sonoma. The Victim’s vehicle sustained damage in the incident. The Victim was a 39 year old Reading man. A BMW was also involved. The incident is being investigated by State Police.
Union Township
Theft – On July 22, 2020, between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m., this incident occurred as unknown Actor(s) did remove various tools from a Met Ed truck on Moonshine Rd. and SR 72. The stolen items include an STHL Wood Boss chainsaw, valued at $295.00, a Number 4 copper, valued at $100.00, a red Hilti battery press, valued at $2,310.00, a Hilti battery drill, valued at $421.11, a blue Makita Sawzall, valued at $100.00, a battery-powered Makita grinder, valued at $180.00, a short bolt cutter, valued at $70.00, a long bolt cutter, valued at $100.00, and a MD-6, valued at $282.08.
West Cornwall Township
Vehicle Accident – On July 20, 2020 at 2:33 p.m., this crash occurred in the vicinity of 3190 Lebanon Rd. The vehicles were driven by a 23 year old Pine Grove resident and a 30 year old Palmyra resident. No injuries occurred as a result of this crash. Both vehicles were drivable.
Drowning – An investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding a drowning at WellSpan Philhaven, located at 283 South Butler Rd. Police and EMS were dispatched to the facility at 2:14 p.m. and, upon arrival, found staff performing CPR on a 46 year old Lancaster County woman who was found in a pond on the campus, north of the main building. At this time, it is unknown how or when the woman, a patient at the facility, entered the pond area. She was pronounced dead by a member of the Lebanon County Coroner’s Office. First Aid & Safety Patrol EMS assisted at the scene, along with WellSpan medical, administrative, and security staff.
West Lebanon Township
Simple Assault – Benjamin Floran, a 42 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Simple Assault after an incident that occurred on July 20, 2020 in the 1,900 block of Church St.
